Losing in state recruits is a knock when it hurts the class. 2014 is not applicable. It is literally one of the highest rated classes in history.
Ha Ha ha, good one man. you should actually go look at the top 10 players that LSU lost last signing class. Then look at who they were replaced by. A few off the top of my head that were the lowly replacements were the #1 safety in the nation, the #1 I-linebacker in the nation, the #4 weakside DE in the nation, the #11 I-linebacker in the nation.
How many of the best class EVER started the first game of the 2014 season. This year there were 4 true freshmen starters in the BYU game. The most by any team in the nation.

Do you thing LSU should have won the Alabama game last year.
Saying a team “should” beat Alabama is fallacy.
But that team definitely “could” have with even a hint of offensive output. For all of the praise that you and the CheeriOs pour on O for piling onto teams with awful defenses, you then shrug off the lowest offensive yardage output since The Rematch and the first shutout in Tiger Stadium since 2002.
For the record, I’ve already posted here multiple times I will not hold a loss this year against O or the staff unless it is some 30 point embarrassment.

The Florida loss is on Aranda, Jabar Juluke and Bradley Dale.
Aren’t you one of the guys that gets all chapped whenever anyone says that the team only bounced back once Alleva reminded O that he is paid not to coach?
So he gets credit for the wins but not the losses?
quote:
having to play over 30 true and redshirt freshmen and start 8 true freshmen
How many of those started/played major roles in those two historic losses?
And regardless, being “young” isn’t an excuse for getting absolutely blown out of the stadium by an average MSU team or losing to a mediocre Sun Belt team at home.
Getting embarassed in historic fashion is what happens when teams aren’t prepared to play, young or not.

Wrong, but anyway I wasn't on here bitching about LSU being without talent because I was trying to excuse two shite in bed loses either like you clowns.

Damn, are you just slow or what? O has been recruiting for LSU since 2015. If you want to claim we don't have talent, then ANYONE recruiting for LSU since 2015 shares some responsibility for the talent problems you claim we have.
That's not bias, that's fact.

He really doesn’t have a clue and he makes himself look stupid by spewing nothing but hypocritical nonsense. It’s stricly agenda driven and he’s following the typical anti-new regime talking points without even knowing if they’re true or not. He’s an automated salesman.

Lmfao wow it’s stunning how wrong and warped you people are. It was all Miles recruiting prior to Ogeron being hired, only then was the recruiting coordinator responsible for all of recruiting lol. Seriously do you know how stupid that is?

And still didn’t come close to that 2014 class.
And missing out on the RB that went out of state could very well have long term consequences for the program.

shite post?
I point out how desperate it is to compare the 2014 and 2017 classes and that’s worth how many lmfaos exactly?
You two fellas should just get it over with and get a room already

Comparing Miles 2014 class to O’s 2017 class
How long had Miles been the HC at LSU? Who was his recruiting coordinator?
FYI, as good as the 2014 class was, a higher percentage of 3 stars turned out to be productive players for LSU than the four and five stars.
John Battle
D.J. Chark
Donnie Alexander
Russell Gage
Cameron Gamble
Colin Jeter
The players above have all contributed to the LSU team. The five in the first group were 3 stars and were a part of only 8 three stars signed. Colin had no stars and became a regular player at TE if not a starter.
The five and four stars that made the class so highly rated didn't fare as well. Of the 16 there were 4 transfers including 5 star Clifton Garrett. Take him out and the other 4 star transfers and I wonder how well the 2014 class would compare to the 2017 class.
I know they didn't have 4 true freshmen start the first game of the season the same year or have 20 true freshmen play that year.
After a few years when they re-rank based on adjustments for transfers and participation it will be interesting to see how the two classes compare to each other.

You were calling people out for making excuses about the Bama game. Now you say this? Which is it? You sure do change your narrative a lot.

Not only do you change your narrative a lot but you just totally make shite up. I guess that's why people always said it is so much worse when a person lies. First they have to remember what the lie was and when they can't, they become like Tiger Voodoo. I have no idea what LSU's offensive output was against Bama and have shrugged nothing off.

Yeah right, first off I don't care. Second off, for all I know you are probably just making up another lie.

“ it was all miles recruiting”
Seems I recall lots of assistant coaches getting props for their recruiting abilities while Miles was here including Coach O.

People keep saying this, but I don't remember seeing anybody trying to make excuses for the two losses. I have slept since I have read the first 7 or 8 pages though.
When I talk about the 30+ true and redshirt freshmen playing it is in relation to how good the last recruiting class looks to be, how poster may be wrong about how Les only left the team loaded with waves of veteran SEC starting quality players and how Jimbo is 2-5 and LSU fans make excuses for him because he has to start ONE freshman.

O has been recruiting for LSU since 2015
Two whole years. How long has Jimbo been recruiting at FSU?

There is much more talent on the D-line than just a few short years ago with Brick Haley. Building quality and depth on a defensive or offensive line doesn't happen immediately.
I have a post on this page or the previous that covers the recruits Eaux signed in 2015 after being at LSU 3 whole weeks - one was Arden Key who would not be at LSU if not for Eaux. In 2016 he signed a very good D-line class including Rashard Lawrence, Ed Alexander, Glen Logan, Andre Anthony, and Sci Martin among others. Geaux look at my post.
The problem on the D-line has not been talent but injuries and grades - in Frank Herron's case.

Did you notice the five star from 2014 who left before playing for the team? The 3 or 4 four stars that left? That class would not be as highly ranked today as it was on signing day 2014. The #2 ranking would be lower.
quote:
And missing out on the RB that went out of state could very well have long term consequences for the program.
That has been taken care of. Eaux hired the #2 ranked recruiter for the 2017 class as the new RB's coach at LSU.
I wouldn't worry too much about the long term consequences. Darrel Williams was not thought of as a good RB before this year. LSU will be okay.
