come on down, spend some money, stop at every tailgate you can and taste the hospitality and the food. take the tigerbaiting with pinch of salt. nothing serious about it..
get on campus before 11am if you wanna park in this parish.
lots of great resturants, like walkons. not too expensive yet good.
have a safe trip, great post...
eat, party, have fun...

Canes is franchised. I live in Lexington and they have one up here now. They have like ten UK flags flying on top of it... it just ain't right.
I haven't been in there to see if it has the story on how it was created...the one about how the concept came from a business proposal for a class at LSU and he got a C on it...yadda, yadda.
Yes, it does have the whole story on the wall; I think the Cane's in Athens, GA also does. We went to a Cane's in Lexington because their opening coincided with the LSU-UK game last year. The only good thing about that trip was the visit to Cane's, as we got to meet the founder & his dog. The rest of the trip = not as great.
Cane's is better than Zaxby's, but similar enough that there's no reason for a UGA fan to go there or any other chain. I'm with the poster who recommends Walk-on's. I just got back from BR last weekend and I'm already missing the Catfish Acadiana and boudin balls.

They have actually got a Canes in Las Vegas just off the strip....when I lived in LA and went on Vegas weekends I would always get the Sweet tea (there ice is the best!) Sweet tea and ice is all I like about Canes....
