First Tailgate Setup

Saturday will be my first time setting up a tailgate on campus. I have always just gone to other peoples tailgates and never had to worry about any of the details. We won't be doing anything too elaborate for this first one probably just a tent, a grill and a tv. We will most likely setup near the Swine Palace and I am leaning towards dropping my tent off on Friday evening. Does anyone have any pointers on setup or tailgating in general?

If you put your tent up in "my" spot, I will destroy it and throw it in the lake.

We tailgate in that area. Most of the regulars will have their tents up as early as campus allows.

Most people do recon first ... if you haven't already scoped out a spot during a previous home game then you are likely to set up,in someone spot that's been going for years. Gonna be some hard feelings if you do that. Don't be "that" guy

First come first served. Any veteran tailgater knows this. If they show up after you got the spot? Tough shite. frick them.

Deep cycle battery, inverter, fan. Money well spent. Put a frozen jug of water in front of the fan if you want "AC".
