exactly what you want on slants

shouldn't a slant be a throw that the QB releases quickly so no defenders can react?

Russell used to do the same thing.

I don't remember Russell having a windup like Jefferson. Russell just flicked his arm and the ball went wherever he wanted it to go

We've been wearing those practice shorts for 3 years now but I guess anything from a ranter wouldn't surprise me.

You always want short pass across the middle to be released as high as possible. This way the ball is traveling downwards to the receiver and greatly decreases the chances of interceptions and "tip drills." It also help prevents WR from having to extend upwards to catch the ball, thereby decreasing the chance of injury.

He didn't have the wind up, but would extend his throwing arm almost all the way when throwing short passes over the middle.

Looks to be more focused also. Something different about the look in his eyes.

Anyone else notice TC is looking at the ball instead of where he is throwing?

Should it surprise me that people are dissecting JJ's throwing motion on a photograph with absolutely no context as to which play was run?

That would be a fair critique if it weren't for the fact that we have witnessed Jefferson use that release point for more than an entire season.

You can shut the hell up with that. You're kidding yourself if you think Jefferson has a pretty throwing motion. Does it even matter? No, but we can talk about it.

Philip Rivers has one of the ugliest throwing motions in the NFL but he's also an elite QB. It doesn't fricking matter what it looks like, but it's just an observation that it looked weird.

THIS. Damn... just because it's a picture doesn't mean that is not his throwing motion of every fricking pass.

Who are these guys trying to kid into thinking this isn't Jefferson's throwing motion. It isn't a bad thing
