Not really, but I wouldn't expect you to know, since you don't live here. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge on College Dr. LSU has a beautiful campus. I was skeptical about State's campus, until I got here. It's a beautiful, large campus. To those saying it looks like a cow pasture couldn't be more wrong. Unless, you have been here in the past 3 years, your opinions are somewhat flawed and irrational.

But anywho, back to baseball. Here's my scenarios. If LSU wins Friday, I think LSU will take the series. If State somehow finds a way to beat Nola on friday, I think y'all become depleted and we sweep. However, I think scenario one is more likely

I do like the Monolithic scoreboard in the Football stadium. I heard there are a lot of trailers in Starkville. (Not that there's anything wrong with that)

We're putting another one the same size on top of the new expansion it'll be ready for this coming season.

On the outskirts of Starkville where no one goes, yes there are trailers. But the actual city of Starkville (within highway 82) has none that I know of.

That was Skip's classic line.

And also the one about lots of unemployed beauticians.

Just the fact that you felt you needed to address this topic is VERY revealing.

McMullen .265

Everyone should take a look at this...

Those guys on the bottom were hitting much better last season so it wasn't a fluke, they know how to hit a baseball.

Imagine what happens when they all get out the funk? Boom

Not really, I just hate when people make stupid and stereotypical assumptions when none of them are true. There are trailers in every Mississippi city, no surprise there. But LSU fans act that Starkville is sitting in poverty and it's quite entertaining listening to y'all make these speculations especially since most of y'all probably haven't been to Starkville in the past 3 years where the city has grown exponentioally

I know that I can't expect that. He said that since I addressed the issue, it makes the argument "VERY telling", which led me to tell him my reasoning for addressing it.

I went to the LSU/MooState baseball series in Starkville last season.

When I called to make a hotel reservation at the Hilton Garden Inn near campus the young lady bragged that their hotel was the only one in Starkville that has its own restaurant. True story.

I saw for myself for the first time all of those jokes Skip told about Starkville were true......

Is there another hotel with a restaurant inside its building?

I know the one where we ended up staying (the LaQuinta Inn & Suites across the street on HWY 12 East from the Hilton Garden Inn) didn't have its own restaurant.

Just for you...

Some Classic Skip Bertman quotes about Moo State!

"Starkville is the only town in America where the population never changes. Girl gets pregnant, guy leaves town (repeat 3 times)."

"What do you call 32 women from Starkville in the same room?
A full set of teeth."

"A tornado went through downtown starkville and caused a million dollars worth the improvements."

"Starkville is Indian for 'trailer park'"

"The loneliest guy in Starkville is the tooth fairy"

"There's only one beauty parlor there, and they only give estimates..."

"Starkville is the place where the FBI sends people in the witness protection program."

"Coach Polk invited me to his house for a Bar B Que. He told me he had split level housing. Turns out it was just a double wide on the side of a hill."

"The Polks invited me over to see their new house. They were excited about the sunken living room. I didn't have the heart to tell them that their trailer had a flat tire..."

"A Miss. State student won the science fair. He made a stick out of a piece of wood."

THESE WERE ALL SKIP BERTMAN QUOTES!!!
