LSU No. 18

That is fairly generous.

FWIW... Les Miles was better than this 6 of his last 7 years and we fired him. I point this out as someone that wanted Miles gone... just not for this shite show.

My post is not about setting the bar "high". It's about the correct use of English words.

me·di·o·cre
?mede'ok?r/Submit
adjective
of only moderate quality; not very good.
"a mediocre actor"
synonyms: ordinary, average, middling, middle-of-the-road, uninspired, undistinguished, indifferent, unexceptional, unexciting, unremarkable

By the very definition & it's synonyms, LSU football is not mediocre nor average nor unremarkable. We are a Top 25 program for 14 seasons since 2000. If LSU were mediocre, there would be minimal sports media coverage, prime time game slots, etc.

According to 247, LSU is the 4th winningest team (over Bama, mind you) since 2000.

Top 20 Winning Teams Since 2000

Wake up. Support the program (or go away-if you are so mad that you're done/selling your tickets/etc, then take your arse to the Pit of Misery. No one gives 2 grits about your bitching & moaning as it pertains to the business of running a winning college football program). Put the good gris gris out "there". Let's Geaux Tigers.

Imo State should be ranked ahead of LSU.

it's all relative. And it's pathetic that you feel this way.

With our recruiting base, facilities, money, etc., our real competition isn't Middle Tennessee, Indiana, Utah State, etc. It's the top few teams in the SEC and the top 8 in the nation.

Ok well we finished 6-2 in the SEC which was 4th in the conference. That is not great but it isn't mediocrity either. That is the most overused term. People are so narrow minded. Teams are viewed as elite or mediocre, there is no in between. It's illogical

It's like telling Duke basketball fans, during a few down years, they should be happy they're in the top 30 because that's the top 10% of all team nationwide. Some programs have higher expectations and demand excellence.

We have never been at the level of Duke on a consistent basis. We are a top 10-15 program historically but we are not a top 5 program. That's not saying we shouldn't strive to win titles but to demand that or be unhappy is just not realistic.
