24 players have at least .5 TFL. 8 players have 5 TFL or more.

The 13-0 is the stat that I still am most in awe of. All of the rest are fantastic, but that LSU is 13-0 is the stuff that dreams of old timers is made of. It is something that you have to have been around LSU football for over 1/2 century to fully appreciate.

No SEC opponent scored more than 1 offensive TD against the LSU D?
Can that possibly be right?

Arkansas is the only SEC team to score more than 1 touchdown, and one of those was the fumble return.

Touchdowns scored by SEC teams: 7
Touchdowns scored by LSU defense: 7

eta. that's just counting the SEC games. LSU D scored 8 times on the year, and KO team scored once.

Yeah but don't get carried away with this stat. When you look at field goals it isn't even close, our D has zero! When our D gets a field goal then we can talk!

West Virginia had 460 or so yards passing and 530 or so total yards and lost by four touchdowns. That's my favorite stat. It keeps getting bandied about by the smart pundits as a reason to have LSU play Okie State as if stats matter one iota to our football team.

And that's the best part about how dominant our defensive stats are. This is not a "stats" defense. This is an aggressive, attacking defense that also happens to be completely smothering. That's why they're better than Alabama with their unreal stats. We don't care about stats. We just beat you by 20+, every time.

I liked the one about our scoring runs this year - CBS posted it during the game Saturday; something like

42- 0 - Georgia
41-3 - Arkansas
38-7 - Auburn

ETC

Not to be smart arse but you do realize that your defense's primary purpose is not to score TD's or points in general? Obviously the opponent's offense has scored more. It isn't a bit mind numbing to you that the opponents' OFFENSE has only scored 4 more TD's than our DEFENSE has??
