With baseball season almost here I wanted to bring up some of the best moment in the Old Alex Box.

Kind of generic but there was nothing better than a Sunday afternoon during SEC play with Eddy Furniss would come to the plate and everyone in the stadium chanted ED-DY ED-DY ED-DY.

Also the 1997 regional where we lost to South Alabama in Game 2 and then had to come back and beat them twice. The 2 games were played on a Monday afternoon. It rained the whole weekend and I remember the game against Long Beach State lasted until about 1 in the morning and then the 2 games were the next day. That was the greatest regional memory ever. What a blast.

What you guys got?

Undoubtedly game 3 of the 2008 super regional vs Irvine. Seeing Dean, Gibbs, and Clark blast back-to-back-to-back home runs was unbelievable. I'll probably never see the likes of that again.

edit: here's the video

The last game in that stadium was the best for me.

#1. Rich Cordani's HR against the Trojans in 1990. (See Los Angeles Times mention of it.)

#2. Getting a free cheeseburger from a HR while the McDonald's light was on.

#3. Just Todd Walker batting in general.

#4. UC-Irvine super regional & last regular home series against Miss. State.

another great moment from that 08 irvine series...

Javi's reaction to the BS hidden ball trick they pulled at 2nd. Solid meltdown.

I have some great memories at the old Box. One of my best was a random weekday night. I want to say it was late 90's when LSU beat Southern 28-2. I think Blair Barbier went like 6 for 6 and hit for the cycle.

I just remember it being odd, because in warmups Southern players lined up on the foul line while the Southern pitcher warmed up. For obvious reasons, it didnt really matter

Classic.

I remember Jamin Garidel's only at bats came against them as a pinch hitter and he just about always dropped a bomb against them when we were up 20.

ULL game where the bat "accidentally slipped" out of the batters hands and flew into the dugout, almost killing the ULL pitching coach. Stare down into the ULL dugout after an LSU homerun which cleared the benches again. almost had about 3 brawls that game.

I remember some hostile games against ULL in the 90's.
