50 min into it, long lines, and no players or coaches. Is this typical?

Based on the line when the boys and I got here 10 min early, some folks have been waiting a looong time.

The volley ball gals look nice though

No official word. I'd imagine within the next 20-30 or so.

No mention of that in the press release. Young boys and lines that dont move dont mix. . .

It'll be worth it for them once they get in.

When we got there at 1, there were already 200+ people waiting for autographs...

Well, I stand corrected. The press release does mention that the players and coaches don't arrive till 5:00. I retract my indignation.

People who attend this are delusional. This thing last 90 min and they never get there in time. Its a big fat fricking waste of time.

The tent sale was almost exclusively old game worn merchandise. Helmets, gloves, jerseys, cleats.

The best value were the jerseys for $99. Good numbers too 33, 2, etc

The RBs walked right passed us as we were waiting to meet Mike and holy , Guice is a monster.

We had a blast, but we didn't stand in any football player lines and didn't get one players autographs. Although, my daughter got to dap up #7

I'm very disappointed this year. I take the kids (11 & 10 this year) because they enjoy seeing some of the team in person. Get in offensive backs line @ 4:40. Wait till 5:15 they finally start. We have a row & a half behind us. They draw the line at that point saying no more in this group. We arse-u-me that means they'll get to see the guys even if a tad past 630. At 6:31 we are next in line poof done g'night folks. In defense of Fournette he tried to cram a bunch of signatures in as fast as he could till the old fart security pushed him away so they could make checkin at the home. For me no biggie, but tough explaining almost 2 hours standing in a line for nothing to kids.

Edit: this is now my last year going

Before this set up, this was an outdoor event. Scorching or raining. Every player had a line. You were lucky if you could get 10 guys.

I used to love going on the field of TS when I was a kid and getting pictures and Autos with the players. Those are some great memories. Getting to meet Kevin faulk was the tops for me though.

Get in offensive backs line @ 4:40

The doors opened in lines officilly formed inside at 3:30. There were hundreds of people lined up outside of the Maddox field house hours before the doors even opened. You should have showed up earlier if you wanted to meet the most popular group this year, or chosen another group's line.

What are your suggestions? What would you like to see them do differently?

Personally, I think they need more for young kids. There was ONE face painting station and ONE bounce house, but TWO snowball trucks slinging out $5 snowballs. If you want a family event, cater to families. If all you want jort wearing booger eaters from Plaquemine collecting autographs then that's what you're going to get.

I also think they should have some stations that are photo opps only. My daughter could care less about autographs. Even with Disney characters. Instead, shes spends weeks before we go to events coloring and making pictures for the people she is going to meet then she loves giving them the presents she made or them. The cheerleaders at the door were the only ones you could have real "interaction" with.

I would say take a few players (even possibly from other sports) and set up meet and greet (no autograph) sections.

Lint the amount of people that can attend the event....charge 10 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for kids 17 and younger..and establish a trust fund for the library and donate the money there each year....whenever anything is free it attracts way to many people....sell the TICKETS online and make it first come first serve...the way it works now is the lines are so long that it's over with before half the people. never get an autograph and leave pissed that they wasted their time comming
