They’d have a better chance if the coach didn’t put in two useless bullpen pitchers. 6 runs is generally enough to win at home.

We could all be wrong, but I don’t see them getting hot in the back half of league play. Too inconsistent in every aspect. The NCAA tourney seems like a pipe dream.

You left out “yet”.

They aren’t good YET

JJ is actively developing the young guys and figuring out the best spots for each player

LSU will be good team by end of season

No choice but to flip the roster by the portal, Jay thought he had talent this season

Ole Miss thought this in 2022 as well. Thinking the season over right now is just ridiculous. Yeah it fricking sucks losing. But if we win tomorrow we take the series and look forward to the next week. Need to hold leads thought

Exactly! The real problem is the pitching coach who has overseen every pitcher on the staff regressing

It’s the same song every weekend. Piss poor defense, piss poor offense late and absolutely no pitching.

It would also not shock me if our opponents had more runs scored with 2 outs than we we have scored in total in sec play.

The signs were starting to show before the Miss State series and most of us said that if we didn’t take 2 of 3 against Florida at home then it wouldn’t bode well for the next 3 series and that has come to fruition. This team is not only out of the sec race already, they’re out of race to host and they’re working on not making a regional with this play.

Maybe leave in Helmers who got a ground ball out a pitch before and started that batter with an 0-2 count.

It’s a rebuild year

Don’t expect much success the rest of the way

Rebuilding with what? Tanks, Bingham and Holman are gone next year. Those are the only consistent pieces on this team. A total tear down and rebuild will be necessary for next year.
