Won’t matter if our offensive game plan is trash and we only hold the ball for 40 seconds to a minute each possession

I think they will be ready for milroe . We don’t have the horses on defense to adjust to what happens in the 2nd half last night . A&M got the momentum especially with nuss’s 2nd half collapse

None of them have even CLOSE to the same quickness and speed as Reed. We contained Dart, who has been pretty effective as a runner, just fine.

With Perkins out, we don’t have an LB who could spy Reed and hope to stay with him. I’m sure that had something to do the difficulty in adjusting to him coming in. But Weeks was able to spy Dart very effectively. He should be able to stay with Milroe and Lagway as long as we keep contain on them. Also, neither of them has an RB good as Moss to hand it to. That makes Reed a lot more dangerous on zone reads.

Not 100%.

But more than enough to run (90% according to the Hogs).

Reed wasn't all speed. He was incredible at waiting as long as possible before deciding to handoff or keep it and it kept fooling our defense. And we didn't have the talent to make up for it. However, given time to prepare I don't think defenses will struggle so much with Reed. It was pretty clear our staff did not prepare for this at all. South Carolina will be ready for him and we will be ready for Milroe

Another short minded post thinking if a fast guy gave us issues every fast guy will automatically give us issues.

I agree with all of this.

Wouldn’t have been as bad if the defense game planned for Reed. Collin Klein clearly has been designing an offense around him just in case and it worked out last night.
