best thing about the xbox espn app is they have multicast. I'll suffer through some of the quality for that

I always had the same issue with my PS4. It was really annoying that the picture would freeze at the end of every commercial break.
Get an Apple TV, Google TV, or Firestick 4K if you want good app support.
