since they play maybe 2 or 3 legit games a year their players are good to go vs the big boys. Put them in the SEC and those guys are worn down half way through the season. The week in week out grind of the SEC would turn them into shite

I tried to count up the number of top 25 teams they've played since 1999. I believe it is 12 (though of course, I could have missed one or two- and I only counted teams that actualy finished in the top 25) Regardess, that's PATHETIC. Not only do they play very few top 25 teams, the midling teams they play are far below the unranked SEC teams talent wise. Like I said earlier, look how well Arizona St. did right before joining the Pac 10, and then look at what they've done since since. 5 ten win seasons (including 2 undefeated seasons) in the 8 years before they joined the pac 10, 4 in the THIRTY YEARS since they joined the pac 10.

Boise is able to bring in the top tier of mid-level talent, and that would drop off if they weren't consistently beating big name teams. The second an Alabama, Florida, or LSU drove them into that blue turf, kids would stop wanting to play there.

I think they can beat Vandy. I think Tennessee is dealing with so much this season that they'd be beatable, and until Ole Miss shows that they can replace what they've lost on offense they're beatable.
The poll on ESPN gave 8 specific teams in the SEC and asked what their record would be.
Boise State has talent, and you're an idiot if you don't recognize that. But you're an OU fan so it's not surprising that you'd have some hurt feelings still.

I really wish Boise St. would get more props for being a good football team. They are a really good football team with a great coach. Hell, weren't they a Div II program 15 yrs ago?
