Honestly guys, the loudest LSU game I've been to in the last two years (out of 8 games) was at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this year. The '07 Florida game was by far the loudest I've ever heard though

so it's not the loudest.

It's also pretty safe to say that those here who say LSU is louder than Oregon have never been to their stadium

I think Oregon's stadium funnels the noise to the field though, but I've never been. Looks like a cool place. LSU games can be pretty quiet if it isnt a big game at night. The noise level would stay up if the school wasnt so psychotic about alcohol in the stadium.

that's a sad statement. i've been to plenty of games 100% sober and the loudest person in my section. it's the old asses and fans who don't know how to cheer correctly (ie, yell when we are on offense and sit on their hands on defense) that have ruined TS since i was a student

What a joke. TS is not the loudest anymore due to ticket prices and one of the worst student sections in football. Back in the good ole days when all the coonasses could afford the games is when it was loud...now its a socail event that people go to, dont cheer at and leave in the 3rd not natter the game.

Point is that it could be the loudest in the nation and nothing Oregon fans could do would make them louder than LSU fans in TS.

...of course we have shitty fans right now so we don't live up to our potential much anymore. We DO have some of the best booers in the nation though.

Older folks are often quiet, but so are the people who've been tailgating all day and their buzz is wearing off by the second quarter.

again alcohol is not a key to cheering. and my dad who has a fifth of scotch to himself just stands there 95% of the game

I won't lie, I'm pretty quiet at the few games I attend to. I used to be loud when I was a student, but I don't have the motivation when I'm surrounded by soccer moms and friendly older folks. Just not a rowdy crowd, esp compared to Saints games.

The student section blows the rest of TS out the water. If you've been to a single game this year you'd notice the SS is way more packed and way louder than any other section.

There may be some seats at the very top that are empty by the 4th but on the whole no other section of TS stays occupied longer. You'd be lucky to have 65% of the people between the 20's stay past the 3rd.
