Nobody expected us to beat UW by 3TDs...the line was only 4.5......but way to pull up the first game of the season against a ranked opponent...away from home.....with new faces....to clearly disprove a point I never made.

Reading the lovefest in this thread, if I knew nothing about LSU I would think Miles had won multiple national championships in his 9 full seasons instead of one two-loss championship and an embarrassing defeat in a championship game. Just saying that the over-the-top lovefest doesn't exactly match up to the actual success.

Where did I say we r the ONLY team that does this? I said we do it a lot......at home.....on the road....wherever.....to clearly inferior talent.
So you're bitching just for the sake of bitching. Got it. You recognize that it phenomenon "happens" to LITERALLY every other team in the county, right?

All of which we were the more talented team. Yes, even Bama!
As I had to explain to my crazy family saturday in a very like conversation, LSU is NOT the most talented team in the country every year. BAMA has continuously out-recruited LSU for the last 5 years.
Georgia was VERY talented last year and we were at their place.
Ole Miss was the worse game Mett had last year, it happens.
Just enjoy a very good coach, leading LSU to average more than 10 games a year

I'll give you good for Les Miles, but I won't give you great. And as we know, good is the enemy of great.

We seem to play down to the level of our opponent more often than I'd like, but at the end of the day it's all about the wins and losses, and Les has won a lot of games.
Yes we do.. This has bothered me for some time. However, I am afraid that the days of "W" begin enough are over. This COMMITTEE that will be selecting the top 4 for playoffs are going to be looking at style points, unfortunately. Look at aTm's jump in the poles. I am afraid that, unless we are 12-0, we are going to need to keep our foot on the gas a bit more with non-conference teams to make it in the playoff system.
On the other hand, last year it seemed as if we saw a thin playbook from our offense until the bama game. It seemed as if he pulled about 4 new chapters that he had worked and did not let the film reveal until time.

the selection committee and A&Ms jump in the polls have nothing to do with each other

WE SHOULD NEVER LOSE AGAIN!!! NEEEVVVEEERRRRRR!!!!
LSU has built a culture of winning and dominating. If you don't protect it and fight your hardest every opportunity you get you WILL slip into the slide of mediocrity which is VERY hard to escape! So don't come here with that mediocre xbox crap! Grow some balls!!

Les runs a relatively bland Big 10 style offense, then hits you with a trick play.
A team dead in the water, comes roaring back to life.
Gotta love the madness of Les. Just make sure you are current on your cardiac meds and anti-depressants.

Just reading the quotes from Miles...they're nonsensical. I think the language part of his brain was hit one too many times back in his football playing days.

If Zach would have scored on the keeper, it would have been 59-3...
Zach did score. The officials went to review it and Les called time out and asked them not to.

im gonna break some news to you.....you may want to sit down for this. i've been watching LSU football for nearly 40 years and (with the exception of 2011) they've never dominated every team they've been favored heavily over......ever.
here's some more news.....neither has any other team in the country.

People have different measuring sticks for judging a coach and ours are clearly very different from one another. You look at overall victories, I look at actual championships. You would be content with 11-2 every year for the next 20 years. I just would not enjoy that. The season is not enjoyable for me at all without a championship. A terrible attitude, I know, because it results in disappointment 99% of the time.

The nfl draft says otherwise my friend, gonna have to disagree with you on this one! Besides, bama is the scum of the earth!
