Pretty sure without all of this, Chicken would be out of business, and everyone who posts on this site would have to find some other way to spend their time. It's a message board for discussing all things LSU, and like it or not, coaching decisions are fodder for discussion. No different than commenting on possible decisions made by Congress ... I have no impact on them, but I can certainly voice an opinion or concern.

No. An antidote is that which acts against something, in this case the passing game. It is a clever way of saying that to this point, Mr. Jefferson has given scant reason for anyone to place the smallest amount of faith in his ability to win a game with his passing skills.

The only thing I'm assuming is that Les Miles is gonna be Les Miles.

I would say that despite all of the genius postings to the contrary, Miles has a far better grasp of what the QB situation is than any poster on here. He suffers less from selective memory loss than many posters on this board. JL has had a history of trying to force throws into coverage and not throwing the ball away, even last year. He was very lucky on several passes, which, but for a dropped inception here and there, the same folks who want to burn Miles and or JJ at the stake would be screaming about JL starting this year.
JL is our starter and will be. I wish all these ranters would quit being such wusses.

That's all I'm saying. With UF a week from tomorrow and them arguably being the second best team we'll face this year, I think Les will try to get in their head tomorrow. Hell, it might be something he does with Mett and JJ doesn't even get in the game. However, my gut tells me JJ sees the field for at least a play tomorrow.
I'll be back but I gotta help the wife bathe the kids right now.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think most fans who object to JJ seeing the field fear that Miles will find a way to give him the starting job back, which would be an injustice to JLee. Until JLee proves he can't get the job done, JJ should see no more plays than JLee did last year.

Sorry, but why should Mr. Jefferson "see" any plays with this offense playing as well as it is. Someone on the crazy board please convince me how Mr. Jefferson adds any thing to the offense besides great anxiety. He may be fleet of foot, but he has not been a consistently effective passing QB. Further, if LSU cannot pass against teams like UF and the gumps, it will likely lose.

Nothing wrong with a change of pace at selective times during the game, just to give future opponents something to think about. Personally, I don't mind seeing a little option mixed in, just not to the detriment of what is already working, and certainly not at a crucial point in the game.

Criminy! The option that Mr. Jefferson jacked up repeatedly! Are you blind or stoned, my friend?

And you know this how? I hope you're right, but I could never say with 100% certainty that Miles would not find a way to justify inserting JJ as the starter at some point this season.

quote:That's spot on, and another reason why I just can't get on the LM bandwagon. In a way, the LM/JJ love affair has been exposed by the new and improved Lee. Hind sight says Miles should have started Lee all along, and he'll find a way to vindicate his pre-season inclination to start JJ. That, in my opinion, may be the underlying motivation to start or give JJ significant playing time.
