Why would he excel at it? To excel at teaching you have to have great communication skills. Just because a guy can play well doesn’t make him a teacher. And to be a great recruiter you have to be a great salesman and have a fire in your belly.
I agree. Thats why I think PP7 would be a good assistant coach. He has always been known as big brother in the NFL teaching the young guys. Very well spoken. Great leader. Being a salesman is easy if you have a high pedigree and know the material. Young guys would love to have PP7 recruiting them.

List the great coaches. How many of them were shite players at shite colleges, and how many were superstars in the NFL. I’ll start- Nick Saban, Vince Lombardi (couldn’t make it in semi-pro), Sean Payton, Bill Belichick (Wesleyan lol). There were plenty of good players who made good coaches, too, but most don’t.
I’m talking about Peterson being a DB’s coach in college, not one of the greatest head coaches college/NFL level of all time

Man, Kwon Alexander made the Saints D instantly better. He and Demario Davis seemed to have great chemistry. I really hoped he’d stick with the Saints for the last 5-6 years of his career.

Ditto / Think persistent injuries kept the Saints from resigning him
