LSU freshman Cameron Fordham was asked to take a greyshirt. He elected to go through fall with the team but not on scholarship.

at least he didn't cry and take his ball to go home.

It never happens anywhere else in the country, does it?

So a 2011 spot is now dedicated to Cameron Fordham? is that correct? ugh.

What's the deal with this guy, I guess Dooley is familiar with him from his stint in LA.
Is he any good? At what point did you think he would be ready to contribute.

How about the ones who commit and on signing day go somewhere else.

Oh please.
The guy was promised a full ride, and now he's being asked to pay the first year. There's no 'taking your ball' scenario in this and for you to suggest so makes it sound like you are sucking at the teet of Les Miles

Fordham should just leave too
He's never going to do anything...just being honest
And I agree that wing should have been greyshirted, not porter

Because you know the whole story and this was just a surprise to Porter. Nothing was said until TODAY.
How do you know? Do you have access to the football offices? Was it wrpped up in a little box telling him he needed to greyshirt?
Because I'm sure it takes one day to talk to Dooley, get a scholarship available for him, work the numbers, talk to the coaches, see what they have available and move on to Tennessee.

b/c Miles has never miscommunticated anything to recruits before right...funny how easily you give the benefit of the doubt to someone w/ such a poor history of communicating

Would you ask your blue chip recruits to greyshirt? No. You ask who you think isn't going to make a immediate contribution to the program and a position that isn't in a clear need.
Obviously they felt that way...or a communication screw up. Plain and simple. I find it hard to believe they didn't know his feelings about greyshirt considering he mentioned it during his process.

maybe not, but I'm not acting as if I know the whole story and how long the wheels have been turning for this.

The kid practiced in the spring. Did he do enough to earn the spot?
