On the flip side, O controlling the narrative here in some fashion would benefit him long term.

This is so dumb to believe that this site would benefit long term. It may very short term but the ONLY thing that benefits him long term is winning football games and big football games. I could believe short term but long term? No freakn way!

The fact is if he loses he will be gone period, end of story. If he loses some and wins some it could also help short term, like the next season but once that 3rd and 4th season comes around, people will no longer tolerate anything but winning. That's just the truth. It doesn't matter if someone supports O or not. The only reason I support him is because he's at LSU and hasn't been given the time to do what he needs to prove himself. I have no previous stance on him or any hate for him.

I'm judging on current results not past. That's fine if you wanted to do that before he was hired but to keep it up after is doing the bidding of our opponents and I won't do that. I want to give the current HC the best chance to win bc he's the HC at the school I love and have followed since I was a child. That's it really.

There absolutely are posters here that are paid to promote and defend the hiring of O. There’s no way any rational person can deny that.

Wouldn't it be better for a rational person PROVE that?

It goes on here and other MBs ----Bama has Paul Scumsuckbaum in their back pocket. Ever since Saban got there they have hired students to troll all team Mbs especially LSU. Some GA monitors a program they have. Of course there is your trailer trash that do it on their own like anyone can. Those are easy to spot. But there is an organized program with some very crafty trollers who are paid to spread gossip who are a little harder to spot until you start noticing.

And see, I think this is MORE likely than LSU planting people to post good stuff. I mean after all, as fans, we should be pumping up our own.

You know what controls anything?
The product on the field.

Don’t lose to Troy and you won’t have people being critical of Orgeron’s coaching ability.

Anyone pumping Orgeron is delusional. They’re hoping he can right the ship. They’re praying he learns how to coach and at our expense.
Anyone with negative comments about Orgeron are basing them off FACTS.

If LSU wins, then all is forgiven and most of us will have to eat crow, but we’ll still enjoy LSU winning, because that’s all that matters.

It works both ways actually. They are easy to spot. In fact, there are more paid posters on this board from Bama's social media public relations dept. than from LSU's SMPR dept. I know people who work in this field and have done quite a bit of research on this subject on my own. It has been proven to be quite an effective tool in influencing opinions and shaping the narrative and is effective in very tangible ways, much more so than people want to give it credit for. Of course there are some trailer trash types and other easily influenced types who just enjoy being extremely unreasonably negative ( know in the field as EUN's) or (in some cases) extremely unreasonably positive (EUP's) and just do it for free without even realizing it.

What does Les have to do with this?? I was very critical of him while he was a coach @ LSU. He was stubborn to a fault. I get it. He won a lot of games by playing defense and running the football. It wasn’t visually appealing by any stretch of the imagination. It was maddening. He did win a lot of games though. His pressers were highly entertaining. He didn’t go out of his way to throw players under the bus.

No. I’m not an Ed O “hater”. It’s just a failed experiment with him as HC. Nothing more than that & having the least amount of excitement going into a season since Curley was roaming the sidelines. Things will get worse before they get better. I get that reality. CheeriOs are in for a rude awakening.

“ this place is so stupid “

This place is little different today than it was 10 years ago when I join the Rant.

When LSU fans become concerned about the direction of the program, they speak their mind.

All Coach O has to do to change the perception of many, is to win and win big. Give LSU a West title or an SEC title or a top 10 finish and many will be singing a different tune. That’s simply the way of LSU football fans and really most fans of high profile programs.
