You are right, they saw what LSU did but there’s no reason to just fall behind.

The bleachers are cringeworthy at this point

It’s more than the aesthetics.

I don't think so, LSU proved to others that baseball could be not a huge loser or even a break even deal....without that I don't know the other schools make such huge investments.

Mississippi State was legit before lsu was. They should have won 4 or 5 championships. Sec didn’t need lsu to be great for these teams to see that baseball could make money. State was doing it already.

I never said it wouldn’t. I’m saying if you think your success two decades ago will carry your program you are very naive. You have to stay ahead of the pack in EVERY category

I had a recruiting letter from Ron Polk written in 1984, I am fairly knowledgeable about their rich history. I also know from going over there a bunch that Duty was a dump. There is no way that this version of the field is built without LSU showing that they get the crowds we get.

30K plus weekend crowds were something that many programs never dreamed of, even the successful ones.

The box is a very nice stadium, it just feels cold compared to dudy noble.

The only unique characteristic is a Lamar billboard. And that’s a carryover from the old box.

Meanwhile the state that always ranks last in every category has a high rise condo with roof top bar, seat backs, and built in tailgate stations where cooking is allowed.

That and the fact they don’t have a ton of HS bleachers littering up the stadium and have a very fan-friendly stadium.

lol. Their stadium was always bigger than ours. And they filled it regardless of it being a dump. Wtf are you talking about?
