he wants the revolving door at 3B.

I don’t think he wants a revolving door anywhere. Thats not really a thing with a baseball coach. Especially on the infield

I don’t think he wants a revolving door but he sees 3B and RF as spots where he can move guys in and out without causing havoc elsewhere.

I think he’d prob like to nail down a 3B. RF is more of a platoon spot if he wanted to go that route. I think he’s just trying to give Bianco some ABs

Why not just move Doughty back to 3rd and put Bianco at 2B?

Yea, kinda weird. Doughtys footwork around 2B has been poor and it’s kind of a telling sign about Johnson’s attention to detail on defense

He's making decisions based on what he's seen since he's arrived. My guess would be that Dugas hasn't shown the consistency that the other guys you've mentioned have shown since Jay arrived until today.

I also used to think that CJJ must’ve had some grudge or something towards dugAs bc of what you mentioned. But the more games I watch, I’ve learned that CJJ is a BIG and I mean BIG proponent of the offensive matchup of lefty vs righty and vice versa. Almost to the point it seems he will field a defense that has some flaws in certain areas as long as his offensive lineup has those opposite matchups… we’ll learn more though when we get to conference play.

I think Jay is also trying not to mess with Berry and Doughty much. They can hit. They have hit. You just never know where a guy's head goes after making defensive transition or being pushed to DH. Berry may not be a guy that can stay engaged as a DH at this stage of his career. Doughty may be deep into working on his play at 2B, so he doesn't want to pull the rug on him just yet. Just some thoughts.
