Saban, last two years (since he has rebuilt the program) has been in the top two, with no signs of slowing down, only getting stronger..

why does saban get a pass for his final season here? he was one year removed from a national title. apparently he was not good enough either.

the people that are complaining about miles were probably complaining about saban as well.

know, that last two, Two years starts a trend...
if you're calling 2 years a trend, then you're validating what everyone is saying about lsu fans' lack of perspective

quote:

I could give two shits about fricking ULM, his first fricking season...look at what he's done since then, Ray Charles can see it..
why is it ok for saban to fail but when miles doesn't have the same failure, well there's some excuse? oh btw, miles has done pretty well for himself too. but you don't want to acknowledge that, do you?

quote:

was it the one between his two national titles?
his first season also. again, no one can sustain the level of success lsu fans want of miles

and not completeing them
i've seen jefferson complete several nice passes downfield in the last 3 games. but you don't want to acknowledge that for some reason

quote:

all of them made sense when they said our QB was a weakness
no, they didn't. o line is our problem. not qb. now that the o line is playing better, you see the offense starting to improve

quote:

with the way ingram was running the ball it was only a matter of time
even so, had peterson gotten the call, lsu would STILL have had a chance to win at bama. regardless, lsu played a good game and is clearly improving. i wonder if coaching is in some way responsible for that.

no, i believe you missed it...overruled
pal, i asked you to show what coaches sustained the level of success (playing for the sec championship every season merely because you have a high salary). you have yet to do so.

Miles had a loaded team use to winning
and miles has continued to win. he's kept the program going at a very high level. higher than pretty much every one in the country in the toughest conference in the country.

Saban didnt
what was saban's excuse in '04?

a Championship one
hilarious. even national champs make mistakes. this shows the level of absurdity you'll go to in sticking to your point.

yes, florida and bama have been better the last two seasons. lsu was better before that. it's just normal cycles of college football. no coach can sustain national championships or conference championships every season. not even meyer. all teams make mistakes but that doesn't mean that miles is inept

bama didn't play florida or georgia in the regular season. it takes more than talent and good coaching to win the conference. you have to have team chemistry, a favorable schedule, favorable officiating and luck with injuries. heck you could even say weather plays a role.

excuse me for wanting the best and not settl
who's settling? you're again missing the point. these are normal cycles of elite college football teams.

taking a back seat to Bama or FL
how do you think bama felt when lsu was on top of the world? that's the way college football is. you're trying to canvas careers by looking at one game.

either saban or meyer is going to lose in the seccg. whoever does could say they wish they had a coach that could consistently get them to the top with all the talent they have. it's not about one game or one season. it's about sustaining success. something miles has proven very adept at because he:
1. recruits well
2. hires a great staff
3. coaches well
4. keeps the program out of the ncaa radar
