Nothing with the hamstring is healed in a "few days".

This. We have another sprinter in another sport that pulled a hamstring and almost a year later you can still see the impact of that injury. Very tough to get over this, especially for players with elite speed that rely on that tool more than most.

there are varying degrees to pulling a muscle. sounds like whoever you're talking about had a partial tear and not a minor muscle pull. Or he didn't rehab properly and didn't let it heal

Oh well... Plenty of savages behind him. But, my guess would be, he will be fine come fall ball. Chillax

I'm sure you had the full power of LSU's S&C team as well as their rehab and therapy team working on you 7 days a week.

he's overrated as a db
by who? Most people know exactly what he is - an extremely athletic player, trying to grasp a new position, who was beat several times last year, while also making plenty of good plays and causing turn overs.

Hamstrings can become a chronic problem, especially with fast guys.

Is this why I see pro players in sports have lingering hamstring issues?

Its because they go back too early mid-season usually.

And my comment was directly to another poster's individual situation that he was applying to DJ's.

They're not the same.

My father in law is a PT and has worked on the players for 30 years. He still will work on a lot of guys who are in the league and they'll fly home just to get him to work on them bc they say the PT they offer in the NFL is shite compared to what we do for them here.

Now days they call cramps a pull

That is stupid. No healthcare professional calls muscle cramps a pulled muscle. If they do they should be fired because there is a huge difference.

Or, they can quickly be a big nothing burger.

Fast guys are programmed to worry about the slightest twinge in their muscles. Many times you feel a sharp pain in that muscle. You shut it down and grab that area.....next thing you know you hear " X pulled up and it was his hamstring"

When a hamstring is truly pulled to a bad degree, you end up with what happened in the Olympics, when the dad had to pick up his crying son and carry him across the line.
So somewhere between a cramp and a full tear, our 19 yr old db has support and staff of tremendous knowledge to help his young body heal.

He'll be fine
