Headed for JUCO at Kilgore CC. Says he never felt at home at LSU. AKA I knew I would never see the field.

A&M, they’re separated, they’ve got their own groups. But at LSU, it’s a family. It’s a big family down there. I didn’t want to go to another school that’s separated.

“First off, I want to thank God and my family while helping me make this decision. I want to thank everybody involved with the LSU football program especially Coach O, Coach Meatball and all my teammates. We have a bond that can’t be broken and LSU and Baton Rouge will always have a special place in my heart. However, due to family issues, I have decided to separate from LSU and further my academic and athletic aspirations back home in the state of Texas. I wish the entire LSU family my absolute best in the future.”

I wish him the best. He has good size and some ability. I thought he was undervalued and was excited when he committed. But it doesn't seem he was going to make it on the field anytime soon with Shevlin getting himself in order and Ika coming in.

Still, sorry to see him go. His size could have been helpful. Good luck to him!

There is nothing wrong with wanting to transfer. And, there's nothing wrong with not feeling at home. Certainly there is nothing wrong with having family issues.

But, when you give a bunch of different answers as to why you are transferring, that kind of gives some insight into what's wrong.

I'd tend to believe it was less this and more this:

I knew I would never see the field.

With O and staff bringing in better Dlinemen Livingston would get buried on the depth chart. Ika is an incredible athlete and a dominating dlineman. Plus the 2020 clss of dlinemen O and staff are gonna bring in, just wasn't going to be room for Livingston. I don't even recall him playing in the spring game. I thought coming out of HS he had a lot of potential, but even if he reaches his full potential at LSU I doubt he will be as good as the recruits coming in. Good luck to the big man, I hope he finds a great fit for him.
