I didn't play football and ill admit that I don't understand most of the X's and O's beyond some high level stuff.

That said, was the offensive scheme the rebs ran Sat night something that would be successful against most teams (with a good defense) or was is just poor play by our D?

Just need the fastest guy on the field to run it

Aranda better figure it out ...that qb is only a frosh

Look no further than the same game. They were running it the whole game including when we were up 28-7.... defense either got tired or stopped giving a frick....but for the most part it's easy to defend...you give up some big ones every now and then, but not that many

They do lead the sec in rushing so it does work a lot.

Look more at rich rod’s success in the past. When he has a mobile qb, he’s been successful. This is a difficult scheme to defend because one missed assignment, one missed block results in positive yardage. I saw on a couple of runs to the short side of the field, LSU was misaligned allowing the long runs.

To stop that scheme the D has to play disciplined football at every position. To stop that type of offenses it rlly comes down to the force and spill player, plus the d-line and LB’s playing the correct gaps and not just reacting to the ball. If they mess up their assignment then more times than not a play is going to break for big gains. I think in the first half the D was disciplined, but not so much in the 2nd half and that’s why they gave up some big chunk plays.

I feel like this was pretty obvious. We were up 4-5 scores and all of a sudden Om could start moving the ball int he second half.

There's no excuse for that, but a week after beating Bama and in that cold against a team that could stop Burrow and co, I can see how college players stopped playing their best.
