Does our defense have a scheme or is it just a formation?

We don't blitz. We don't dictate anything.

DL does a few stunts. Thats about it.

We must be incredibly easy to prepare for.

It’s our linebacker play - mostly #18

Beyond pathetic and high school level garbage. Jones is a coaching fraud and astonishing he was even a position coach in the NFL.

Do some of you guys even watch the game. I've been critical of 18 in the past, but he was our best LB, best defender, and likely our best player yesterday. Dude made multiple TFL, a sack, was the only guy you could count on for an open field tackle, etc.

He's not perfect, but he's a lot better than 4 weeks ago.
Some of you guys get an opinion and aren't able to see anything else.

Cmon man, if you watched that game and thought he played well because he hade a couple of positive plays, you dont know what your looking at. they literally converted 3rd and longs by running the ball, he rarely if ever shed a block and made a tackle on key plays. On his few positive plays, he would just run blitz and make the play, but most of the time he was wildly out of position. I think Clark is out of position, he needs to be a 3-4 outside rush linebacker, when he is rushing the passer, he isnt that bad.

Ill also add, Baskerville took many plays off, and should be benched. At least Clark tries.

The no blitzing part is mind boggling. I've never seen a defense that never blitzes. We aren't consistently getting pressure with front four to justify not blitzing. The play where Baskerville got driven back 8-10 yards by the runner sums this team up perfectly.

We do have a scheme - we rush 4, and then we cover every receiver, except for one.

Our QB has 2 seconds & the opposing QB has time to tie his shoes! No defense!!!

We certainly look undersized for an SEC defense. Beyond our defensive tackles, we look outclassed at every position. BJ is a great athlete, but is getting pushed around. Jay Ward at safety is making a few plays but he seems light against the bigger running backs. Flott is paper thin.

Just an impression and maybe I'm wrong, but we got run over by Ole Miss ffs!!!!

Some feelings are gunna get hurt when he is drafted and gets coached up. He’s gunna blow up the combine.

Man I hope so. He struggled mightily last year and appears to have improved dramatically. I hope he keeps improving and makes it big. By all accounts he’s a great person and a hell of a worker. I like seeing those types of individuals succeed.

Clark has improved a ton, but he needs 1 more season with a legit DC in a 3-4. The 4-3 and Nickel are crap.

Just watch him consistently from the beginning to end of plays - he’s not physical, almost all of his tackles are 5-15+ yards down the field, he is not good and just thankful he’s a senior.
