That's not the point and you know it. The point is, has LSU become a school that is willing to settle because they are unwilling to pay top money to draw the biggest coaches?

Do i need to list the dozens of underclassmen that have started over older and more experienced players or ar you willing to bow out? Blame Chief for not starting KB.

no. what an idiotic post. what were you thinking of? we could fix that by just tripling his salary immediately and then having the highest paid coach in the SEC. would that make you feel better?

Hopefully you aren't this dumb. No jackass, I'm not saying we should have paid O more to to be our coach. I'm saying LSU decided they aren't willing to pay top money to seek out the best coaches.
Listen, we got rid of Miles because he wasn't an offensive minded coach and we replace him with s defensive line coach from his own staff. The irony should be clear!

head coaches in the SEC?

We went cheap. Not cheap, but good. Just cheap.

I am going out tomorrow and buy me a nice binder.

OP regardless of anyone's take on the issue why would it? If O turns out to be successful then we will have gotten a great bargain. If he doesn't well then we got what we paid for.

It matters because teams don't always stay on top. We had a window where we were perceived as a top 5 job in the country and we should have gone out an hired a guy that's refelective of that status.
Supposedly, we spent the good part of the season vetting potential candidates just to settle for a position coach already on staff? It's just comical.

An irrelevant post with zero substance and emoticons thrown in to provide a distraction for said lack of substance. Are you 15?

I'm not sure why they are paying him so much.$3.5mil? He would've jumped at $2.5mil. Tell him he will get $4mil after winning SEC, $5mil per year for NC

Is this really a thing? Should we compare who's dad can beat up who's dad as well? This isn't 3rd grade.

If LSU had offered money to a coach that was reflective of their percived hierchy in the landscape of college football, I wouldn't be asking this question. But since they decided to make a lowball hire and offer bottom tier SEC money, yeah someone should be asking questions.

I don't plan on losing any sleep over it. He doesn't take money out of my pocket.
But since this is an LSU board called Tiger Rant, it seems a logical place to ask logical questions.
