I honestly do not believe he was outcoached this year or last year. Y'all were in the game and had a chance to win and I think that is all you can ask from a coach.

Agree, Scoop.

The only thing Miles did not do correctly (IMO) at the end of the Ole Miss game was to let 19 seconds run out on the clock and not call time out promptly.
People criticize the way Miles stammers and "you knows" with the media........BUT THAT'S NOT HOW HE TALKS TO HIS TEAM IN THE LOCKER ROOM OR AT PRACTICE....!!!
That's what drives me crazy. How a coach converses with the media has NOOOOOOOO bearing on wins and losses....

Speak for yourself kemo sabe!! Miles may not be the best coach in the country, but I think this program is at least where it was when Saban was here. In some respects, it is better. I can tell you for a FACT that high school coaches like Miles better. He doesn't come across as a smartass and he shows respect for the coaches he meets and visits with. Louisiana high school coaches will not direct a kid away from LSU because of Miles. I can't say the same of Saban. His disrespect of some of the coaches in Louisiana is well known.

I'm not sure about that but I appreciate your comments. I try to just look at the fact. LSU played BAMA to the wire the last two years and last year Alabama had a QB that was a third year starter and y'all had a freshmen that had never played and y'all took us to overtime.

This year y'all had a new QB again and we also had a new QB but he had been in our system 4 years and that counts for something.

I look at the first year that Miles played Saban and no doubt LSU had the better, more talented, and more experienced team and y'all won. I don't think that made Saban a bad coach it just meant he was outmatched.

Miles came into a hostile environment against a coach that was actually loved at one time by the entire LSU fanbase and kicked Alabama's arse at home.

The guy hasn't forgotten how to coach and I can promise you that as an Alabama fan that has watched his team suck for almost 20 years, the grass is not always greener.

Miles is a top tier coach in the toughest conference in the country and y'all only lost to the #1 and #2 teams in the country and played both of us on our heels. the Ole Miss loss came after the Al and Fl loss so it can't be fairly evaluated. Kids on a team like LSU go into theseason thinking about the NC not the Outback bowl and when a team like LSU loses control of their own destiny and sees their hopes of a possible NC run fall to the side an unwxpected loss is not unusual. See BAMA in the Sugar Bowl last year. Do you honestly think Alabama was thinking Sugar bowl after going 12-0 in the SEc.

I just like coach MIles and I think he represents the SEC as well as LSU with a lot of class and he does the right thing theright way and for that he should be commended. If y'all were 6-6 with the talent y'all have I would say you need to fire his arse but y'all are a good football team. By the standards y'all have set on MIles we should have fired coach Bryant about 5 times.

Just my opinion.

Dang Scoop, there you go again making perfect sense. Don't you have a board you gumps can go on and talk stupid crap? J/K I agree with a previous poster, you are one of the most rational folks on here. When are you gonna wisen up and change your name to LSUScoop? You don't fit the bama fan profile at all.

BTW, I know you folks love Saban and are glad you got him, but I despise that slimy little pos weasel. Sorry, I had to go there.

Sonny, this is The Rant. Virtually everyone gets dissed here. Thick skins are recommended.

And no, I'm not ready for Miles to go.

The vocal minority of you knuckleheads that want Miles gone is not "most".

Our boards suck and I am gald the admin here allows us to paricipate on this board.

I will be the first to admit that if the shoe were on the other foot with Saban I would hate his arse to probably. The bad thng for y'all with Saban was timing. He went to the pros and that was a mistake on his part and he ended up at Alabama. I agree that it would suck i the situation wwere reversed. If he leaves us there will be a complete meltdown in Alabama and then if he ended up at Tennessee for example we would hate his fricking guts. His life might even be in danger knowing some of our fans.

I don't understand everyone hating on Coach Miles. He barely lost to Florida and Alabama with a very bad call going against him in the BAMA game.

Dang, that's nice of you to say/admit. FWIW, getting/losing calls is part of the game and I don't hold onto them, just wanted to clarify my post.

Miles would get a lot more leeway if LSU wasn't 3-5 in the SEC last season and played every game close this season except Tulane and Auburn. That includes Washington, ULL, LA Tech, Vandy, MSU. Then throw in the blowouts to UF and UGA last season and the 107th ranked offense this season and the mismanagement in the Ole Miss game... it's ends up being a lot to overcome.

Not really. 9-3 is 9-3. I don't care how the team wins as long as they win. I marvel at the knuckleheads on here that can't enjoy a win.

But, I think the answer to that is to fix the offense. If you have an infection in your foot you take antibiotics you don't chop your leg off.

I agree that the offense needs work but next year y'all will have an experienced QB leading the team that gained a lot of valuable playing time this year. If I was an LSU fan I would be excited about next year. The recruiting has not dropped off and y'all are still loaded with talent.

most tiger fans do not want miles to go. most people that read TD (post or not) do not want miles to go. there is a segment and they post a lot and they diss everything about miles and most everything about LSU do want miles gone.

I agree. But like I mentioned though, there have been may things that have been out of sorts. Like the guy that responded above you, 9-3 is 9-3, enjoy the wins. Well, last year was 7-5. We have an equal number of OOC rent a wins as we do SEC wins. Miles of course will have the opportunity to correct the issues, but some fans just prefer to fool themselves into thinking LSU is the same program it was in 2006 and 2007.

A small group of unrealistic dummies does not equal "most". There is no doubt that Miles hasn't made all of the best choices over the last two years, but he and his staff have done a fine job and have the team well-positioned for the future. If you want perfection, you should abandon your fake LSU allegiance and support a program that always wins and never makes any errors, for example Southern Cal.
