It's not on the standard package for DTV. Have to buy a sports package, I believe. I tried 646 last night and got a blank screen that said "Channel Not Purchased"

If the game is blacked out in your area it may be on PPV for about $40.

Of course its on Fox Sports South. Since most of Louisiana has Fox Sports Southwest and will get to watch OU Saturday night.

You will get the game on FS Southwest+. It's channel 677 and 677-1 on DirecTV. Calm down. You will be able to see the game.

If not, then subscribe to sports pack and you will definitely get it.

I wonder if I subscribe to Sports Pack if it'll be blacked out in Louisiana or something. Just checked my online Directv schedule - it's definitely OU vs. Iowa State on 676. I don't get 677 apparently, nothing shows for it.

Thats correct. However, the channel is garbage and not worth me having the package for a month and deadling with the nightmare that is Direct TV "Customer Service".

Find a bar/restaurant or a friend with Cox and have a good time.

If you are able to watch games at ESPN3.com on your computer, it will be on there. I have a hookup from my laptop to my tv, so Im good on that front.

For what it's worth...

I recently subscribed to the sports pack on DirecTV, and I was able to get a discount of $5 per month for the first 3 months - just by asking "can you give me any discount?". You will need to keep the package for at least 30 days, but you can cancel it after that. So you can get it for $8 instead of the normal $13 per month. I plan to keep it for 3 months, which will cover the rest of the football season, and then I'll have to call them up to cancel. Annoyingly, you can't just cancel it over the internet. You have to call them up to cancel the "premium" channels.

Their regional sports networks are a bit confusing. I originally called to ask about adding the mountain west network, and was told that I already had it (I have the "choice" package). This turned out to be a lie. People who have the choice package AND live in the mountain west region will already have that channel. However, I live in Austin, which gets a different regional sports network included in the choice package. So the person on the phone just looked up the channel and saw that it was included in the choice package and told me I had it - they weren't taking the regional restrictions into account. If you want the out of market regional sports channels, you need the sports pack.

Hope this helps someone.
