We control our destiny in as far as we will be national champs if we win out. We don’t need anyone to help us. The committee has manipulated the rankings to ensure that Ohio State has an easier path to the NC game. It sucks and it’s not fair, but that part of the equation is out of our hands. If we obliterate UGA and Ohio State struggles with Wisconsin, you will see more media who are sympathetic to our cause, but the committee has shown that they will do what they want, even if it’s blatantly clear there is an agenda behind their actions.

Oregon beating Utah would be good for us if the unthinkable happens and we lose to UGA. It would be one less team that could potentially jump us. In years past, the committee has not severely punished a team for losing in a conference championship game, only dropping them one spot, two at most. That said, I don’t trust this bunch, so who the hell knows what they would do.

Worrying about ranking is for teams that aren't going to beat the snot out of everyone they play this year.

Well no shite we control winning out. I was referencing the fool who thinks we control our destiny for #1.

I honestly hope we whip UGa, Clemson, and aOSU and finish as an all timer.

We control our own destiny as for as winning a natty. If we win out, we win.

However, with respect to the number one seed position, sorry that's a foregone conclusion. It's not happening. The fix is already in. It is what it is.

Will CFP feel compelled to keep Auburn above Oregon due to head to head?

Yes but first they mover Auburn a couple of spots down and then place Oregon after them.

I really think we do. Beating the 4 team badly will do it

Bybthe tortured logic and manipulative sleight-of-hand they've adopted, OSU could struggle, we could crush Georgia and they will say it means Wisconsin is a very strong team and proves Georgia has been dramatically overrated all season. LSU SEC CG win will be calculated accordingly. We will be credited for beating the ranking Georgia will end up after tomorrow, not the 4th ranked team in the country prior to tomorrow's game.

That's a little tongue in cheek but something is wrong about the whole deal. The Committee apparently has SEC Derangement Syndrome.

For what it’s worth, CFN updated bowl projections move us to #1 after the PAC 10 championship game.
