wtf? We want AU to lose, we already have our ranking secured...we want SECW teams to LOSE. We will have virtually a 3 game lead on AU if they lose and that is a team we no longer have to worry about.

so you are telling me at the end of the season if Auburn was 11-1 would not help LSU, verses Auburn 7-5?

IF LSU takes care of it's business, it shouldn't matter what Auburn does... we need to get to Atlanta first and win... there is no way Auburn can stop that now, so I don't care what they do, unless they are playing another SEC_W team... then they have my full, unyeilding support!

if we go 11-1 no it makes no difference

the SEC has enough national respect to make that irrelevent

not to mention, like tiger n atl said, the most important thing is to win the west. now au is out of the picture as far as we are concerned. in no sense is that NOT a good thing

The "win and take care of business" logic, in and of itself, has been proven wrong over and over again in terms of NCAA BCS MNCG.

The VT argument, with regards to last year's berths, is the strongest one so far that I can see.

Strength of schedule does matter in the human polls. Otherwise BYU and Utah may play for the NC.

i guess. but that happened one time.

the most immediate goal i see is to ensure that we win the west. im not naive enough to think that we are for sure not going to lose any sec games. so in that sense, it makes sense to want our sec west opponents to have as many conference losses as possible. this of course helps us in winning our conference.

Certainly dilutes our win.

I still wanted them to lose.

It's way too early in the season to start rooting against underdogs; that's the fun of college football.

Who gives a crap, if we take care of business and win our games it won't matter. Other teams we play are good enough and ranked high enough that if we do our part we will be sitting in Miami for the NC. How can you root against Vandy, what is going on in that football program this year is amazing. Give them some love for stepping up and taking down some of the "big boys" in the SEC when everyone said they could never do it.

it should. Auburn sucks and we struggled for the W against them.

vs. S. Miss......305
vs. Miss S.......315
vs. LSU..........320
vs. UT...........226
vs. Vandy........208

We need to drastically improve our coverage schemes or none of this matters.

Auburn struggled to beat Fat Fulmer who BARELY beat northern illinois this week.

Auburn beat a 1 win Miss. State team by 1 point.

Auburn lost a hideous game to Vanderbilt.

LSU has basically played nobody this year. We'll see what happens next week.

I agree, but LSU is a good football team that will play up to competition. LSU will play well and could very well go undefeated but I think BAMA is playing as well as LSU right now and has had two much bigger wins. I think LSU will beat the shite out of Florida.

No way, LSU beat them at Auburn, something that has not been done in a long time. Game day was in Vandy for the first time, fans were pumped, Vandy was even picked to win on game day. They appear to be a decent team this year.
