Saban won the BCSNC with a 1st year starter - Soph. McCarron, who everyone said sucked so bad that AL would drop at least 3, if not 4 games this year.

Im guilty of thinking this initially but McCarron was pretty freaking good monday night. He had perfect ball placement on some throws and their receivers played lights out.

Maybe someone needs to gather hairs from saban's pillow. Let LSU hire a scientist to extract dna and clone a saban for us. I'm watching "I cloned my pet" on tlc and it could work!

With either team, with either set of QBs, Saban would've won it all this year. His defense is that good.
Plus he doesn't make as many idiotic in game mistakes as Miles.

but yet he couldnt go 14-0 with his own roster which by recruiting services and mock drafts is much more star laden and talented than ours

Funny how everybody is shitting on McCarron in this thread even though Greg McElroy was far worse when Alabama went 14-0 and won the BCS National Championship in 2009. He had a lot more in common with Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee than McCarron does.

This. Most people on here had Bama losing 2 to 3 games because of inexperience at QB and there goes Bama again losing only 1 game and winning the one that mattered.

21-0 U mad?

No. I've been watching football long enough to know it's very hard to beat a good team twice, topped off with JJ playing like shite we had no shot. I think Saban's a great coach, but I don't think he goes to a BCS bowl with our QB's. LES deserves to be COY in my book.

Saban would be dead after his head exploded sometime in mid season.

Well in that case, he might not go 14-0 with LSU's team.

If that would be true that means Bama is the more talented team.....which considering we went 1-1 against them Les is the more talented coach?

Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson would never have played a down on Saban's LSU team if he was there. They likely would never have gotten scholarships but even if they did would never have played. The Saban of the last few years would not have put himself in the position of Lee vs JJ.
