Didn't Vandelay Industries already buy the rights to the field a few years ago in April?

it'll be renamed McClendon-Miles Stadium. how many times do I have to tell you people this?

They would NEVER sell the stadium name, but I have no doubt that the AD would entertain the idea of selling a field/court name. Only a matter of time:
Entergy Field at Tiger Stadium
Capital One Court at the PMAC
The Tiffany Diamond at Alex Box Stadium
Then, the spin machine would come out..."Today, the LSU Athletic Department is proud to announce an exlusive 5 year naming rights partnership with Entergy Corp...yet another outstanding example of leadership in generating much needed revenue in an economically challenging time while maintaining the proud history and legacy of Tiger Stadium...for an athletic department that receives no state tax dollars..."

They would sell the naming rights to anything on campus, for the right price.

If I was worth a ridiculous amount of money I'd make an offer just to have my name on it.

I really don't know why they haven't started this already.

Pretty much. If you want your football program to be a perennial power, you got to pay for it.

Would you sell naming rights to the State Capitol, the Governor's Mansion, Cabildo or St Louis Cathedral? Same prohibition should apply to Tiger Stadium, truly a temple dedicated to the joy of athletic competition.
