This team was supposed to be better than last years. So no, 10-2 is not acceptable relative to preseason expectations. Sad but true.

I predicted 11-1 when we had Honey Badger and before seeing our O-line get decimated by injuries. I could live with 10-2 if we won our bowl game (preferably a nice one).

I agree. Nothing sucks like losing the last game of the year. Hate that feeling!

we never play well post bama
???
Last year we beat Bama 9-6 and then beat Western Kentucky 42-9 the next week and then beat Ole Miss 52-3 the following week.
In 2010 we beat Bama 24-21 and then beat ULM 51-0 the next week.
Sometimes I wonder how people come up with their assumptions.

This is why a lot of fans are so stupid and spoiled. This makes no sense. Things change during the course of the season that change the expectation level. A team that loses this many starters to injuries cant possibly be EXPECTED to be better than a national championship team. That is just stupid.
Yes, the roster on August 1 looked really good, like we had a shot to be better and a good shot at a national title, but the roster just isn't the same, so to say it isn't acceptable is completely assinine.

I am actually starting to get a bit worried about Arky. They are playing much better and they have us in Fayettnaum for the first time in many years.
10-2 will probably get us into the Capital One Bowl since we'd be the SEC West runner up. If we end up 9-3, we'll get either the Chik-fil-A bowl or the Cotton Bowl. If it comes down to that, I'd rather go to Atlanta and play an ACC team than go to Dallas and face a pass-happy Texas Tech or Kansas State team. I wouldn't want to play OU either.

Yes I know we pasted ULM. But we were sloppy vs WKU. Uninspired. Go back to 09. Looked bad in an 8 pt win over la tech. And in 08 we almost lost to Troy. I don't think saying we've played poorly post bama is a bad assumption.

who knows? if we jell we could run the table. i reallly doubt bama has the fight in 'em to repeat. they have had a relatively easy schedule so far and still have msu, lsu, a&m to go. they have drawn a bye, the lucky bastards, in the east. so i'm gonna say if we beat bama, we meet florida in atlanta with a different result.
but 10-2 will not disappoint me; not with the rebuiding we are undergoing due to graduation, academics, suspensions personal problems and key injuries.

No
I accept 12-0. Since when do we lower our expectations. Sorry----winner.
