You start Schmidt and it's all hands on deck after that. What are you going to hold a pitcher back for? The cape?

Yeah, you 100% start Schmidt. Maybe go to Evans to close it out, depending on how long Schmidt gives you. Cowen probably threw too much Saturday to go to. Not that he couldn’t pitch, I just think he’d be more effective with another day. And Sheerin has struggled lately and he threw Saturday. Like Cowen, he could go Tuesday, but would need probably be more effective with another day. Our bats really need to jump on them early and get out to a big lead, Schmidt gives us 6–or even 7–and we can hold our better pen arms for Game 2.

You have to win several games in a short period of time, and Jay knows that's the only goal of the SECT (win it all or stay home for post-season).
I doubt it will be any predicted/scheduled order of pitchers.
