Everyone has him down as the day one starter and the savior. He has also graduated from college. if he kills it this year, my guess is one and done. Might work out well for one of the youngsters to have another year to grow and start day one 19'.

Oh and sorry in advance for what may seem like positivity. I din't mean it if it comes over as such...

Don’t think it really matters! Sign Gunnel for next year!

Hopefully he (Gunnel) won't play as a freshman. If someone can't beat him out we will be in a bad place

This is the key.

No matter how long he stays, this buys LSU something it hasn’t had in a very long time at QB, TIME.

Even just getting one year out of Burrow means MB or LN won’t have to be relied on until their 3rd year at the earliest.

For as much heat as Harris, Jennings, JJ, and Lee all took, none of them were given that luxury. Lee was the only one that hit to year 2 before he was forced into starting. The other three made starts year 1.

That is an incredibly difficult position to put QBs in, especially one after another.

If the staff can’t use this gift to get either of those two highly regarded prospects ready with at least another year to prepare, then it isn’t the staff that will ever get our offense back to respectability.

If he goes pro it’s because he had such a good year he will be drafted very high.

I’ll take it as that would probably mean a lot of wins. Hopefully Brennan and narcisse can learn from him too

Hopefully, if it’s even a year, Brennan can add more weight and get comfortable. Narcisse can work on his mechanics. Both can become comfortable in the new offense and we sign another QB next year to be groomed. Best case scenario.

Aren't we all assuming one or both won't transfer? I think the chances are high at least one will.

Time is pointless. Year after year we see true freshman QB’s produce on the field. Yet LSU QB’s continue to look like they have never played QB a day in their lives.

Honestly, this is not true. No team wants a true freshman starting unless it's a true stud. Most Schools try and add 2 QB's a year recruiting to develop. You have more true freshman starting than you did 10 years ago, but it is not significant.
What true freshman started on top 50 teams last year? It's almost always because of QB trouble or injuries ahead of them.
