I would say that his handling of Lee tarnished that aspect of his reputation.
Why don't you stop posting for awhile. LSU deserves better fans than this. We're winning, Shut the frick up.

Not at all. Jordan Jefferson was the starter for this team from the end of spring practice until his four game suspension. Jarrett Lee, the backup QB, came in and performed admirably. And honestly, coming from a senior QB with significant playing experience, that should have been expected.
In fact, I would say Les handled the situation better than any other coach in college football. If Les stays with Lee in that Bama game, LSU loses. Jordan Jefferson was the Offensive MVP of that game, and he's only improved since then.
This was always Jordan Jefferson's team and the other guys have seemed to really rally behind him in a big way.
Last night's game plan was brilliant and I believe that's how LSU should attack opposing defenses going forward. Jefferson and Lee don't have to be superstars. They just need to make plays (being perfect like they were last night sure helps) and don't put the defense in a tough situation.
Well said.
P.S. Apparently PitaLsu favors "losing with honor" (by enforcing his/her personally biased view of discipline) than winning.

Changed my opinion. Lost all respect for Miles with the way he has handled several situations since the start of the season. It's sad to see him become so arrogant in his quest to WIN.
ULL has some room on their bandwagon if you're looking for a new team...

I can't honestly give my opinion on the QB situation based on JJs performance against the two worst teams on our schedule (not inc Northwestern st). If the last two games were against better competition I would readily say JJ deserves to be the starter. What will be interesting to see is how JJ will do when he has to win with his arm vs us running 90% of the time. Hopefully this will happen this Friday.

I really can't believe our fan base is questioning Les Mile's integrity and honor. I really can't believe it. Some people never liked him and will never be satisfied with his results. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Please move this out of the way. Please
football gods, some fans need an intervention on this topic.
We have the biggest game of the year, hell even bigger than the Alabama game, this
Friday. Come on Tigers, let's unite and support the Team, our Tigers! I beg all of you! I love this team! Enjoy this ride. It doesn't get much better!

my thoughts exactly; we don't know all the ins and outs of a coaches decisions.

His handling if JJ is what makes him a class act. Kid was named the starter, the situation happened, he suspended him until it cleared up, he worked him back into the starting position.

Do we have these types of threads when Michael Ford gets benched?

Why is it that there seems to be this effort by some to see that Lee is given a fair shake no matter what?
Life isnt fair. Les is paid over 3 million a year to be a winning head coach, not a motivational speaker or pop psychologist to his players. I do agree he should get more snaps but there has to be something going on behind the scenes for Lee to go to full time starter of an 8-0 championship team to riding pine behind a guy who was suspended the first 4 games. Something like that doesnt happen overnight without a reason.

Very filthy talk, I enjoy reading the rant but not the filthy cursing.

The fact that LSU is 11-0 and ranked #1 in the country really helps my opinion of him as a football coach. Whatever he's done to get to that point is not something I feel like nitpicking. I'm just enjoying the ride.

Correct and I think the fact that Miles keeps proving them wrong game after game and season after season only makes them look harder at any action he takes in any area of the program in order to find something they can bitch bout.
2 years ago we lose at Old Miss with a poor performance, last year Old Miss gives us everything we wanted before losing, this year we crush them at their place and the score is only 52-3 cause LSU backs off the pedal in most of the 2nd half, and some are still butt hurt cause their favorite QB didn't start or play enough...go figure.
Is there any wonder why good coaches don't care a flip what we fans think bout football type things.

Definitely affects my opinion of Les. This year, and especially last year, just don't make sense to me. I know coaches have their favorite guys, but somehow JJ remained the starter last year while Miles was all too willing to take Lee out this year at times

I aam NOT a JJ fan. That said, Miles is the head coach he is being paid to make those kind of calls. I remember all of bitching when Cholly Mac started Paul Lyons over Bert Jones - until Notre Dame came to town that year. It's not s democracy. On the other hand - coming back to the present - we ARE 11-0.

There you have it! The smoking gun the conspiracy theorist have been looking for...
For God sake people...LET IT GO! Do ya'll have any clue how stupid and petty this bulls#it sounds!
This TEAM is 11-0 and a unanimous #1 and controls it own destiny for a National Championship. And we have fans worried about who walks next to the coach...UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Les Miles' handling of Jarrett Lee has been admirable. Lee did what he needed to do as a QB for the team this year while Jefferson was ineligible. The No. 1 rule of quarterbacking is when you have the job, don't give them an excuse to take you out.
Unfortunately, Lee did just that, Jefferson, since his return has been nearly flawless. The team has a much higher ceiling with Jefferson at QB. To win the National Championship the team will have to 1.) Outscore the SEC's top offence. 2). Beat the SEC's third best defense (virtually)at home. and 3.) Most likely, beat the top defense in the country in a rematch game.
Do you think we can bring anything other than our best and expect to win all three? If anyone thinks Lee is the best option at QB, right now, for this team, then they haven't watched the last three weeks.
