so you are saying that opposing Ds are the only thing that seperates Lee from Bradford, a Heisman contender?

if bradford was on, say, tennessee last year, nobody outside of hardcore SEC fans would know who he is

whose expectations?

mine...

the coaches prob, since Lee couldnt beat Andrew fricking Hatch coming out of the summer...

the SEC's....not very many successful FR QBs in this league.

He's playing better than anyone expectations for a Freshman QB, at any school.

If you say he is not, then you are asking for too much. And you probably would, so im not shocked.

I dont get what Bradford has to do with Lee. I never said anything about him.

I thought we'd be in a worse situation that we are, and I'm cintent with the way he plays.

I still won't go out and say he will have us in better situations than Flynn did last year. There's alot of time for him to get there.

@ AU
@ UF
@ USC

with our shitty defense for 2.5 of those games

LSU isn't winning all those games with flynn at QB. with the way our OL played and how shitty our D was, we'd have to have vick or vince in their primes to beat UF, so that's a loss

does flynn win @ AU and @ USC?

I do believe it would have been closer. Flynn to Byrd was a relationship that Lee doesn't have with any WR yet, no, not even Lafell.

Lee didn't exactly light it up off the bench, he just played solid ball. And it's not that close if he doesn't come in with 19 yo jitters and throws the pick.

@ USC?

again, what did Lee do that would say he's better than Flynn?

what did flynn do on the road against good teams that would say he's better than lee?

remember UK and bama were both SEC road games, and flynn fricking sucked in both

lee has yet to play THAT bad

well if you're going to blame the UF score all on the D, can we take those losses on the road and place some blame on the 2007 D too? LSU stayed competitive throughout those games, did they not?

ETA: i meant UK loss, and the bad game at Alabama that we squeeked out. throw in the Arkansas game too at home with below a 50% comp.

so, if Oklahoma was playing any SEC team, do you think SEC defensive coordinators would stack the box to stop the run like they do against LSU?

doubt it

i'm just talking about how flynn played, not the restult of the game. he was fricking shitty @ UK and @ Bama

hell flynn wasn't even that good on the road against MSU last year

they'd just be sending the house against OU b/c bradford doesn't handle pressure well

and OU likes to throw the ball more than LSU. they can have a shitty QB like paul thompson, and a runner like AD, and they still throw more than LSU does

he excelled last year as a redshirt frosh on a team with similar talent... he didn't have to be a superstar, just had to distribute the ball to playmakers all over the field

let me correct myself

with JR, likely the best QB to ever play for LSU, and D. Bowe, Buster Davis, and Early Doucet, we threw the ball 342 times

OU threw 336 times in 2006 with paul fricking thompson at QB and AD as RB for most of the year

so yeah, you can say OU likes to throw it

because the big12 fricking sucks dick at playing defense, esp pass defense, and OU is much more talented than any team not named texas in the big12. LSU doesn't have either luxary to pad our QB's stats

lee is definitly doing a good job and is winning me over. just needs some more game experience and a better sense of the pocket and footwork.
needs to learn how to be hit as well (after the throw of course). needs to know those pads will protect him (sometimes). looks like he hurried a couple throws last night because he heard footsteps.

and i don't put the blame soley on his shoulders for that interception. right before they came on the field i predicted that they would try and pass and lee might get a feeling of urgency and force one down field and have it intercepted. don't think it was the right play call.

if lafell catches that ball in the 2nd after the fumble, we score a TD and lee prolly tears it up in the 2nd quarter

he's a very hot-cold guy, but when he's in rhythm he may be the best pure passer in the SEC this year

TT is great as a CFB QB, but he's not a pure passer. stafford is everything rantards made JR out to be

So what is your point?

That they both cant exceed expectations of a typical Freshman QB?

sam bradford threw 36 passes in the FIRST half.

it seems like his WR's are always wide open though.
