No, it's not. It's terrible.

I know he can't run, and I'm not asking him to scramble.
But he can't even move around in the pocket the slightest bit.
He has one read, and if it's covered, he's screwed.

That said, he did make some very good throws.

So SloFlow, you listened to much of the game on the radio, but now your judging the QB play based on what you heard?

BTW, Lee's footwork is not good. He also needs to learn how to step up into the pocket to avoid the rush, rather than always fading backwards and subsequently throwing off of his back foot.

Lee's footwork is fine. Hate to break this to you, but the QB just can't ask the D line to step aside to ensure he's got room to step into his throw. Any great QB (Lee not one yet) has to be able to get the ball off while avoiding the rush. Sometimes, this means throwing off back foot, and sometimes it means fading away from the defender.

No, Lee's footwork is terrible. Throwing off your back foot even when you aren't pressured isn't a good thing. It would probably prevent some of the bad throws.

I think both qb's played well. The tigers might have something with rotating qb's in the game. it could be predictable for the defenses we face, but you have to admit when lee throws the ball your a little more comfortable with that and when hatch runs or hands the ball off rather than lee its a much smoother play.

Unfair comparison...Lee has a hell of a lot more weapons at his disposal than Snead.

some recievers let the qb down esp. early on imo.

Too often he sets up the receivers to get hammered

crowton loves horizontal routes over the middle of the field. that's going to get WRs hit

I hadn't been either up to last night and he'll never remind anyone of Herb Tyler with his running. But he looked by far the best he's looked all season last night.

i agree, but i really don't know how much more effective using hatch really makes our offense

True. But Snead looked really lost at times. I think Lee has a good handle on the offense, and the mistakes he makes are very fixable.

Its natural for any LSU fan to feel impatient this season bc the expectations were there when the clock hit 00:00 in Jan's BCSCG. The team has gone from a favorite to repeat and be the first team in history to win back to back BCSCs and the first team to win 3 BCSCs. Now we are acceptingly watching a young talented leader learn on the road. I would like to never again have to witness the past weeks "THE SKY IS FALLING" garbage ruining the experience for the rest of us. As LSU fans we all bleed purple and gold. So cut Lee some slack publicly and do all the freaking out you want in your own basement so the rest of us can enjoy this season. USC's D is said by most to be the best in the SEC and top 3 in the NCAA. GEAUX TIGERS!

i think J. LEE is going to be a helluva QB for us. He is still learning and improving each week. Doesnt help when our playmakers cant catch the football. If Lafell makes that catch LEE's confidence sky rockets

When was this the case? I think most of us came into the season thinking this was a 2 to 3 loss team.

One thing Snead has that I wish Lee had are wheels. He made several really good scrambles yesterday.
