Would make SERIOUS bank if he waited another year. All hype in my eyes.

Yep. He's projected to be the Number 1 pick, but if he comes back for another year I bet he could be the number 1 pick. And if he stays for 2 more years I bet he could climb to the Number 1 pick!

His defensive effort is worthy of NBA All Star Game consideration.

It's crazy that someone who can't shoot outside of 1 foot and couldn't shoot 65% from the free throw line could be the overall #1 pick

Not really. Google past #1 picks and their stats.

Awful embarrassing fans. When he tears up the NBA I hope he doesn't give a damn thing back to Lsu. Or say one positive things. Embarrassing the way our fanbase acts

You really think the RANT after a loss truly represents the entire fan base?

Time for some perspective, friend..

Couldn't we have missed the NCAA tourney without him, too ????

By this logic, Anthony Davis isnt superstar either because he can't lead his team to the playoffs this year???

He put up 23, 12 and 6 and is setting all-time SEC records for stat sheet stuffing. But yea, he's no good

Is he a special defensive player? Is he a special free throw shooter? Jump shot? These are fundamental elements of basketball. Does he take over games like a number 1 pick? He is not a special leader but he gets a pass on this for being a freshman.

Honestly, in a couple years, I won't even remember that he was a tiger. Did nothing for LSU.

Agreed. I wish TD would take an age demographic of the morphadikes who spew and vomit this shite all over this board.

But half of them can tell you what Honey Badger's shite smelled like this morning after breakfast.

fricking wizards.

He did more for LSU than LSU did for him. He brought a ton of recognition and revenue into the program, while playing for free and getting bashed by ungrateful pricks like you. And while the team disappointed big-time, he was not the problem in anyway. He had one of the best freshman seasons statistically in a long time. He can't do it alone.

he consistently turns the ball over. He is making his points because the refs are calling tacky tack fouls on the other players attempting to block his shots. Hell he can't even make a free throw.

Ben brought a lot of attention to LSU, but it does not look like he gives 100% on the court, especially on defense.

I agree his effort on D, especially around the rim, can appear lackluster at times. I genuinely believe that is more to stay out of foul trouble than a lack of caring though. Let's face it, this team is screwed if Simmons is out significant time due to foul trouble and refs have proven to be inconsistent and have consistently impacted games by getting players into foul trouble on borderline, ticky-tacky calls (See: Victor, Craig)

Do you think Ben Simmons bought into the program and gave his 100% every night to win games for LSU?

I think it is pretty undeniable that Ben Simmons did more to help LSU win than any player on the roster this season.

If you want to say he doesn't play up to his own potential, that is on him, but he is doing more for LSU basketball this year than any other player on this team.

People have these crushes on Victor or Hornsby because they'll be here for 3-4 years, so rather than lay the fault of this season at the feet of the guys coming back, they create some sort of disdain for Simmons.

This is a 100% guaranteed fact: If BS was coming back next year, this board would fricking love him. People are basically butthurt that he is leaving LSU.
