[link=(Well - if they acted like grown men, they would get treated like adults. Almost looks like a good part of the group started getting out of hand last year and then little bull stuff flowed right into preseason. As a result, players left and tons got "left home" against BYU. Team looks very undisciplined on the field. )]LINK[/link]

I think this is exactly what is happening. A new broom makes a clean sweep. I don’t care what other programs do, we SHOULD hold these kids to high standards including no drugs.

They are role models and need to accept that responsibility when they sign. I applaud what Coach O is doing. The wins will eventually come.

I remember running until we fed the crickets after we messed up. You can bet that it came up in the huddle next time something started going south again. Running and bear crawls in the stickers. We turned out just fine.

As a position group, we ran the student section top to bottom nonstop for an hour at 5am over a couple of player's missed paper work. Yes, most big college teams run as punishment.

Interesting. Better be glad it was not Saban #1, and #2 if one of them had made that tweet! He would have felt the wrath of Saban ..remember Saban made a grown azz man in the NFL LITERALLY CRY ON THE FIELD.

Running for punishment does 3 things. First it get's you in shape better. Second drives you to exhaustion and people will learn to avoid the mistakes that cause them problems (human nature), and it builds team work. If he never had to run because of a screwup at LSU then I'd say that's a big red flag. This ain't the pro's and it's hard for a freshman to come in from high school and just be in control of everything. Heck it's hard for some pro's to push themselves alone.

Push them hard and let them gel as a team. Adversity together creates camaraderie.

Edited to include that I think D. White has no reason to run. He's like a huge babysitter out there telling them where to go on each play. But you can be sure he's going to be cracking heads too and demanding discipline since he has to run too.

Run. Their. Asses.

That is something O has gotten right.......10 gassers extra will do.

And, prima donna big star recruits need some humility from time to time.

Said usually they treat them like grown men and fix it. Be grown about it. Never had to run before.

Good way to lose a team. Ask Curly about it. He ran the team in the ground after getting smashed by Georgia in our first game in 1991. The team never recovered.

At this point, I think the Coaches need to be right out there running with their asses too for punishment.

More than one former Tiger said they looked soft during the game. So running couldn't hurt.
