LSU-24
Vanderbilt-7
The stadium was bigger than I thought it was an amazing experience. It sure was difficult for LSU to make that win convincing though.

Although it was not the first game I attended, it is the first one I can remember. The 61-17 arse THUMPING of Ole Miss in 1970. Started going in 1967, but that is the first game I went to that I have any memories of. Ole Miss fans throwing money at us in the Southeast corner, telling us to go pay the refs. Losing 61-17 and it is the refs fault?
Got to love those Wascally Webels.

I wish I could say it was a great game, but, my first LSU game was the Miami of Ohio game in 86. What a downer.

It was a Florida State game in the mid to late 80's and it was raining like holy hell. Don't remember what year or if we won or loss. I was born in 81 so i was pretty young.

LSU 61
Mississippi State 6
1969
I don't remember much, but I do remember Casanova and my Dad going wild over how good he was.
Best player to ever play football at LSU.

Ensminger connects with Carlos Carson for 5 TD's. I was hooked before I ever went to my first game, but wow what a show!!
Ensminger didn't throw all 5.. #8 threw at least one.

October 25, 1969.
Unbeaten #7 LSU vs. unbeaten #4 Auburn with Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, Mickey Zofko.
ABC Televised day game in Death Valley.
I was very young, but I remember my Dad got the tickets through a State Trooper friend in LaPlace - Ben Tamborello.
We drove up Airline Hwy from Kenner, picked up the Trooper's son in LaPlace, and drove up past the Snake Farm, Hopper's, Bluebird's, and I remember we had to have parked on the South End of the stadium because it was the end with the poles, not the Roman Colisseum arches. It was huge shell parking lot we parked in.
I remember we sat in the SEZ because the end zone was painted orange with a blue "A U" in it.
LSU scored on the first play of the game on a halfback pass from Jimmy Gilbert to Andy Hamilton.
Auburn ttok the lead but LSU was up 21-14 late when Auburn scored to make it 21-20. But George Bevan and Bill Thomason blocked the extra point.
The sound was so loud I remember we put our young hands on our ears. The Trooper's son and I, both being so young, make paper airplanes and confetti during the course of the game :)
I remember laying in the back seat of my Dad's '67 Chevy Biscayne on the way home and listening to the college scores. Alabama and Scott Hunter beat somebody 33-32. Ole Miss might have been upset, but they beat LSU the next weekend in Jackson 26-23 and ruined our perfect season.

November 22, 1958 - Tulane stadium
LSU 62 - Tulane - 0
As a 9 year old...I attended my first LSU / college game...I have not been the same since...I can still see the White team...Go Team...and Chinese Bandits warming up in circles with their respective captains leading the warm up exercises. Billy Cannon was the leader for the White squad. What an experience.

Mid 70s. sitting in the Purple section, nice and dry while everyone else got wet. Don't recall anything else. Had no idea how good the seats were but now I do.

First game ever - 2000 loss to UAB (very forgettable, but the fireworks were nice).
Second game - 2000 OT win over Tennessee (rushed the field).

Nov. 1979 - Lost 3-0 versus undefeated Alabama. It rained the entire game and I sat in the student section as a kid under garbage bags.
