quote:Can't say I agree with every point but that's a lot of good stuff right there.
Few changes.
1. Perkins will move to BJ’s Jack spot next year
2. The 2 starting LB will be Penn and Tolan
3. Derrick Davis Jr will be full time RB
4. One starting corner will come from the transfer portal
5. J Roy will go pro I’m afraid but Maason and Wingo will be dominant at DT
6. Dellinger will start over Frazier at LG
7. If JD5 comes back Nuss is gone and Walker is #2 QB even if Nuss stays
Interesting that the entire OL could be back but there will still be competition everywhere except LT. (Assuming Jones was moved inside for Heard/Chester/Transfer to take over at RT.)

This kid Dashawn Womack ….don’t be surprised if he’s starting by game one

I would like to see Jaelyn Davis -Robinson get a look at that nickel spot ….this kid has speed …he could be another Kary Vincent Jr

I know we're gonna lose a few of those guys to draft(possibly) and the portal, and there are still a few more inbound freshmen. We will also add some from the portal, bit damn, what a difference a year makes. Next year, we're gonna be able to have more rotation because alot of positions are gonna be deep, and they are more talented and will be more experienced than this season. Trying to keep a level head here, but that's year 2. That's the year we were supposed to be challenging for the SEC West and trying to win the SEC and possibly get into the playoff. That is a few pieces short of a likely playoff roster.

Thanks for the graphic. It would be a lot more informative if you would put the players status as senior, junior, sophomore etc next to their name.

For my money, after the 4&8 game the backup QB at LSU becomes WH.

Maybe, but I like #40 to be in a position to be moved around. I think it's likely that Perkins plays one of the LB spots, either Tolan or Penn is a backup, and maybe Perkins gets moved to end in obvious passing situations.

There is a chance our rising sophomores become studs, and a further chance we bring in a freshman stud.

6. Dellinger will start over Frazier at LG
I strongly agree with these two points.

Go grab his little brother from Michigan State in the transfer portal too. Why isn't he at LSU already?
Update: I just checked and there is no Dellinger on the 2022 MSU roster. Either he's an incoming Freshman in 2023 or he didn't sign with MSU.
Incoming Freshman

Portal needs:
1. CB (at least 2)
2. Safety
3. Edge
4. RB
5. DT depth (esp if Roy leaves)
6. TE depth

We are likely to see some position changes. Here are some possibilities:
OFFENSE LINE
1. Garrett Dellinger will probably start at LG. I think that leaves Frazier and Bradford to compete at RG.
2. Marlon Martinez could move to one of the #2 Guard spots.
3. There are a few guys on Portal Watch from this group.
RUNNING BACK
1. Does Everyone Stay?
2. Does Derrick Davis make a permanent move to HB? I think this is unlikely because he has a better chance of playing/starting as a #2 Safety than he does as a #5 HB.
QUARTERBACK
1. I don't know.
RECEIVERS AND TIGHT ENDS
1. Looks good.
DEFENSIVE LINE
1. Does J. Roy stay? If not, your starters are Maason Smith and Mekhi Wingo without question. If he stays, we may see Roy at NT, Mingo at DT, and Smith at "Heavy DE."
2. Who steps up to play the Jack? The backup Jacks this season included (1) Desmond Little--who had received high praise during Summer Camp, started against Southern, and then sort of faded away after that--(2) Savion Smith, who got a lot of reps at both Jack and DE, (3) Harold Perkins, who went back to Sam LB after a couple of games, and (4) Mike Jones, who was listed at Jack on the Official Depth Chart, but never played the position in a live game. Will Zavier Carter hang around? Does Quency Wiggins fit the bill? Or does at true freshman come in and wow the coaching staff?
LINEBACKERS
1. Gregg Penn could move to Mike, so that Harold Perkins could remain on the outside. He might be better at making the calls. But if he remains at Will, can he fend off DeMario Tolan?
2. Does Harold Perkins remain at Sam, or does he take over at either Mike or Sam? I don't expect him to move to Jack.
DEFENSIVE BACKS
1. I wonder if Greg Brooks and Sage Ryan will swap spots.
2. I think Derrick Davis and Matthew Langlois will by the #2 Safeties, and they could rotate in much more frequently than they did this season.
3. I'm not sure what Sevyn Banks has left in him. Does he come back with a vengeance like Major Burns? If he can partially actualize his potential that led him to be projected as a first round draft pick a couple of years ago, then he should lock down one of the CB spots.
4. CBK has to go to the portal this offseason to address Corner. With questions surrounding Banks and unproven potential with the rest of the group, they have to ensure they have at least 3 guys who are of starting caliber.
5. The portal goes in both directions with this group.

If heard can handle right tackle you could put emery jones at guard to bolster that group
Emery started out at guard
Or you could start heard out at guard as well
Good thing is your tackle position for next two years is set which is most important

I wanna see Davis get another look at RB this year before he decides on his position.
He looked good out there

No way Wingo doesn’t start next year
I think Wingo starts where Savion Jones is slated and Jones moves out to Jack.

Davis is being shut down to preserve his redshirt.

If thats the best group than so be it but OL more than any other group thrives with consistency. Unless Heard is head and shoulder better than Jones is at RT or equally as good and Jones is head and shoulders better than one of our guards, I think you roll with the line as is.
The only change I would make is to try and spend all offseason teaching Dellinger or Frazier to snap.

He did look good: fast with sharp cuts. But CBK said on Monday that they are shutting him down and preserving his red shirt.

So a guy that’s playing rb now and another who hasn’t played a down here in 2 years you’re predicting this out of?
