5 Star -> Texas A&M -> LSU -> UTSA

Jesus what a drop off. I genuinely don't know much about this kid. Was he just not able to cut it at the college level, or was he a slacker?

Just watch what happens when a coach has a scheme that fits his players instead of trying to force the players to fit the scheme

There is just no way. I'm sorry, seems like a good kid, but he doesn't have the physical skill set to turn a corner like Damone. He's extremely stiff, has poor instincts, can't shed blocks, weak ball skills, and lacks the aggressiveness needed to tackle consistently. I think it's great to have someone like that in the locker room (leader and smart), but only as experienced depth. He should not see meaningful PT next or we're in trouble.

Damone had a high ceiling due to measurables, he just looked lost out there for a while. Would run into the wrong hole or into a blocker because he didn't know what was going on every play. Then he would pursue the backside of a play and jump on the pile and get an assisted tackle stat

Hopefully Zy Alexander & JK Johnson will have a good year 2.

Zy was on pace to become a 1st team SEC CB, but you never really know how that position is going to return from a knee injury.

We at least have bodies at CB. DL could be a problem.

That missed tackle may have cost LSU any chance for the playoffs. It was 3rd and 11 midway thru the 4th quarter. Ole Miss was just trying to get to a manageable 4th down. The receiver was moving backwards when Harris engaged which should have made the tackle simple but instead he whiffed. Sick.
