Heard that out of all the injuries that Delpits is the most serious that's why it's been so hush hush. As of right now they are just hopeful for week1. Sounded like its something nagging that could be a constant issue going forward. If that's the case I'd just rest him until Texas. Anyone else heard anything? The source wouldnt go into further detail which is kinda worrisome...

If it’s that serious rest him until SEC play or until such time as he is fully healed. Don’t rush him out at 75% and keep him from being 100% all season.

consensus seems to be hamstring which is something you can easily reggravate if you come back to soon

Against Ga Southern you may not need him against a run oriented team like that

Without him at Texas would be a concern

Didn't O say on Bobby Hebert's show that he would be back in a week or so?

It should be a rule that all threads have a 1 word title so you have to click on each thread to see what it's about.

We certainly won't 'need' Delpit vs scrubU, but it would be reassuring to see him out there some getting live action before Tejas.

I am pretty sure this was mentioned in all the sports talk shows yesterday that that was the one injury that they are waiting on. He may be able to play week one they just aren’t sure yet.

hey may be out for 3/4's if the season if he wants a totally healed injury...if he plays sooner and it's not totally healed, he will further damage the hammie...sad

Well if we can get by Texas without him, after that we have Northwestern State, Vanderbilt, Bye, and Utah State before the meat of our schedule starts with Florida two months from now on October 12.

FYI

On average, a pulled hamstring (grade 1) should take from a few days up to 3 weeks to heal, whereas grade 2 and 3 tears can take weeks or months. Research studies suggest that treatment during the initial stages of the injury can have a big impact on rehabilitation time and full recovery.

Obviously I hope he can play...but I wonder what a combination of Jacoby Stevens at strong safety and Todd Harris at free safety would look like
