You think they're going to tell you that on a radio show? Starter doesn't mean shite if you haven't noticed already. We have starters already leaving. Smith could've hit a starting spot next year. Ricks was a starter, Johnson was a starter, Brennan could've been a starter had he stayed?

Yes, and this is why it's easy to promise our star players to win and offer them money at the same time. Be a star for our winning program so you can get bigger NIL deals. Or just fake it like TAMU and pay out of the arse for anyone.

Honestly I’m indifferent. It sucks to lose talent but we need a major culture change. Only players who love suiting up for LSU and not solely for themselves should matter to us.

What culture change are you going to get if you don't start paying for your players? You're going to get left behind. I don't care how much culture change you try to do you have to pay to compete otherwise you're not going to get any stars. This is what NCAA is now and LSU better evolve with it. You weed them out when they come om campus like TAMU is doing right now. They have the right idea, dump a huge budget into a record class, weed them out when they get on campus.

Johnson wasn’t going to start. Smith got passed up by 3 wide receivers in his own freshman class. Brennan is a 5th year guy desperate for a guaranteed starting spot so he can try to put up some film and go to the next level. The only guy leaving that was a true difference maker is Ricks and he had 1 foot out the door as soon as we lost our first game last year.
