DEFENSE!!!

LSU is stacked on offense. With the new coordinators resumes and lack of experience on defense.What are yalls predictions and ratings on a scale 1-5 (5 being the best) of LSU's D in 09.

I'd have to agree. With our athletes,it should be expected to be top 10 nationally year in and year out

you know, i played football, and i never understood this statement.
espec if you have a free ride to a big time school such as LSU.
Thats why character and attitude are just as important as talent.

our defense should be very good. the talent we have and now with the secondary with experince we should be bad to the bone.

I would have given the defense a 1.5 last year I will give them a 3 as a prediction for next year. I say coaching is probably only worth 1 point at most assuming a 5 point scale......our top 5 d line in the country killed us last year and I hope it doesn't do the same this year.

Especially since Miles hired a former linebacker and LB coach to teach the DL.
2008 Defense was a 1. 2009 should be a 2 or 3. Improved, but Chavis and Cooper aren't Miracle Workers. Still don't think it will be up to LSU standards........
