Any thoughts on why they were not able to put more pressure on QB? Even with fresh rotations we were not able to beat their depleted O-line. Your thoughts???

The interior DL is just big, fat 3-4 run stuffers...not pass rushers. The Ends don't have a ton of talent (outside of Gaye) or are young and raw...see Ojulari.

Remember when Aranda arrived in 2016 he wanted to run a 3-4. Well, he didn't have the DL to do so and a guy like Arden Key wasn't an OLB. Thus, he played more "4-3". It's the opposite right now. O may have his "preferred scheme", but he doesn't have the players to run it right now.

That’s definitely part of the problem. We were just now getting the proper personnel for a 3-4 and we switched back to a 4-3. To build long-term success, you need consistency In scheme and build around it.

Ojulari has been awesome what are you watching? The combo of Ojulari-Gaye is maybe the best part of this defense right now.

Against mizzou they didn’t get as much pressure due to how effective the running game was. Play action and getting gashed hurt a pass rush

the biggest fattest one is the one we miss the most though, Shelvin. Players like Logan, Farrell, Ika, Evans, and Roy can play in a 3-4 or a 4-3, doesn't matter. Though all of them are pretty good, none of those guys are really big time players right now. Roy is going to be a big time disrupter player by the end of the season or at least by next year. Shelvin would be a big time disrupter in the middle of the line right now however, a difference maker.
