I still don't see the real ROI for the boosters even with all that. Unless the vanity advantage is that powerful like it was for SMU back in the 70s and early 80s

Our alumni and legacy supporters have enough to compete with any university in this country, including Texas and Ohio State. Relax people!!!!

That must be why LSU has the most pathetic research endowment in the SEC, a league of research bottom feeders.

This is exactly right. Gotta pay to clean up, but no $18 mil defense next year, unfortunately.

Iowa probably spent $1M on their defense and they’re better, win games without a QB.

Money has never been the problem at LSU.

My question is is there money left over to pay a new staff and put a championship caliber roster together in 2026.

This is the problem with "celebrating" the firing.

It's still a bad situation for LSU football. Just hopefully a slightly less bad situation with Kelly gone. But make no mistake, the Kelly hiring and big contract was a HUGE mistake that will cost LSU for years to come.

The cheering by fans reminds me of when a 3rd world overthrows is current leader and everyone thinks things are going to be all better. They don't realize they are still in a really really shitty situation.

Well they did just agree to raise ticket prices.

They sell about 100k tickets per game. 7-8 home games a year.

A simple $10 increase per ticket will
Pay the buyout
