I'm for all the students that can showing up, but when 40% don't on a regular basis they should quit reserving there spots and get those tickets to people that will come.
Should they track all the people leaving at halftime and not give them tickets either?
There's always going to be people who don't show up. It's just much more noticeable in the student section where there aren't assigned seats. Maybe, and I mean MAYBE, contemplate raising their tickets prices so they'll put a little more stock into going to games, but widdling down the student section is not the answer.

ULL has sold beer for 3-4 years and the attendance has increase for both students and alumni.
Duh, who wouldn't have thought this would be the result of allowing alcohol sales at football games. Fans enjoy getting their buzz on while watching football. These purist in the administration need to get over themselves and come to grip with the fact that people like a cold one while watching football. Just cut off beer sale after the third quarter (like Saints games) and you're good to go.

Unfortunately, I don't think that would work. At UGA, student season tickets are $48 or $8/game.
Even if you doubled the price to $100, you would have students simply consider that as a premium for the 2-3 big games and still worth it even if they didn't attend the others at all.

All I can say if students are leaving early or not showing up to study and do homework, they need to get their priorities straight.

So they lead with one tard they found to say it was because of cell service before moving on to the real reasons. Knowing most people would only come away remembering that part.

Life is a tradeoff. If you want all the students (and other fans) there and interested, stop playing cupcakes who don't require a return game. Play nothing but home-and-homes against big name teams. Prepare to lose a few more than you want. But you'll pack the stadiums.
This exactly. You want kids to leave the tailgates and the bars to watch the game in the stadium? Give them a damn game. Stop scheduling Furman and Kent State.

Get off the lawn you sissys and go to the game.
What if they don't want to? You act like it's a duty. Five hundred years ago no one gave a shite about football, and 500 years from now no one will either. You're seeing the last of tackle football. In even a half century the game will be extinct.
